Evolution doesn't exist in Dragon Ball, at least not as the origin of peoples. There are these gods called kais that have creation power, and they're bipedal humanoids, so they made various peoples vaguely in their image.
Aliens would be from an independent line of evolution. Maybe trilateral symmetry dominated in their history. Maybe they operate at a different speed of thinking (10x faster or slower) so there's no way to communicate in a way that's natural for us. Maybe they're squishy on the outside. Maybe they're a colony of 5 different organisms and aren't symmetrical at all. Maybe they have nothing resembling a head. Maybe they'd look like goo to us.
We anthropomorphize aliens because we use them to tell stories about ourselves. Realistically they'd be nothing like us.
To the extent that there are universal evolutionary "good tricks" for organisms to chance upon, there might be some similarities if we're talking about life forms with an intelligence "on par" with ours (however you measure it). Some examples might be having vision or vision-like sensory input and the organs for that located towards the top of the organism, some kind of appendage with the dexterity to manipulate and rotate objects, and something akin to Chomsky's whole bit about being able to recursively nest concepts and linguistic units inside one another.
I think Maoo is right in the sense that it is much more likely that aliens would look like giant shrimps and not like hot blue women. But sure you most likley need something to manipulate your environmnet with but that could be a tentacle and doesnt need to be a hand with 5 fingers.
A given hypothetical alien may have an entirely different chemical base or not be chemical at all in the sense we'd understand it. Their senses for, say, light, could be made from entirely different strategies.
To your point, look at octopus eyes vs. mammalian (or even fish) eyes. Both evolved independently with likely little more than light-sensitive patches of cells but ended up with similar "solutions" of an enclosed orb with a lens and light sensitive array of cells at the back.
But we should remember that our common ancestor was already highly constrained. Incredibly similar biochemistry. Bilaterals. Same strategy for being multicellular at all. General developmental patterns and mechanisms.
Aliens would share none of that with us. Look at the myriad precambrian body forms and then think about how every single one of them would've shared like 80%+ of the DNA we have. Aliens would share none of it.
So much of all of that is contingent on historical "accidents", just like hiccups are a behavior resulting from our fish ancestry that no longer applies or how mammals' urethra + penis is moved around during development makes penis-havers' lower abdomens more prone to hernias or how we're basically a big connected tube from mouth to anus going back to our ancestry as worms.
If you went back and replayed Earth's own life history and jostled some of the "accidents" it would go wildly differently. Different body plans winning out, different mass extinctions creating different opportunities for radiations of minority clades. Birds and mammals only exist in their currently recognizable forms and diversity because the most recent global mass extinction killed off the dinosaurs and a similar story applies to every global mass extinction. Imagine the conditions going in a different order.
Now look to aliens. Imagine they come from an environment where oxygen could be available because the chemistry of Earth's photosynthesis was not favorable. No mass extinction due to the rise of oxygen in the atmosphere, no oxygen-breathing animals. Who knows what they'd look like or how they'd form multicellularity or if they'd even be cells. We have no base of reference: our planet's life is the only example we know of. In fact, we might even be alone.
I was abducted by aliens when I was younger. I asked them to give me a bigger hog but they just laughed and implanted a device in my skin that turned me gay. I've been on the search for aliens since then, if they can turn me gay, they can turn me straight
I've always suspected that they wouldn't be bipedal because our whole design sucks. Our spines are bulshit and we have to wipe our own asses and we can't regrow limbs. I hope to one day see based crab people descend from the stars
That would be really cool, but it seems like our sensory organs are all bunched up around our brain and probably for a good reason. Maybe they would have some secondary processing on their limbs like squids have in their tentacles?
Like shit, alien tech wear ain't touching my drip. Uniform but extremely pale complexion, like get some vitamins in your diet dumbass! No riz, I shouldn't have to explain this but 'hey, hello, how do you do, earthling? Could I interest you in an anal probe?' isn't exactly smooth. Aliens don't have a Bugatti (jank ass space frisbees are so uninspired), no ice or chains, their pad is probably sterile, they don't listen to jazz or hip hop, they don't game let alone even have a GameCube. They can vibe check you through telepathy but you can't vibe check their expressionless faces. If we're going off of the pic, it seems they don't have gender or genitals which is a W in some ways and an L in others, depending on your perspective. They're not sharing their technology with us, so they're clearly not comrades.
Aliens suck, they're space incels.
Nothing like what we have imagined probably. Completely different conditions, and it’s seen as both narcissistic to think that humans are the most advanced species when it comes to technology and head-in-the-clouds nonsense to think they would be more advanced, like nearly all sci-fi goes with because it’s much more interesting.
I do have a leaning towards interdimentional beings probing us along side the whole other life in this plane. It would explain how things we see with reguards to UAP being silent, static, and moves in crazy speeds and only shows up in certain spectrums. Carl Sagan's FlatLand explaination is helpful for this perspective.
What we percieve as lines in the 1D and 2D might be what we look like to them. All this "the earth is flat" crap might be soft disclosure from the perspective of a 4 or 5 dimentional entity. When we do see their poking arounds, we only see slices of their stuff that appear to pop in and out of existsnce.
