I just hate streamers in general. If they’re going to close the borders and deport immigrants, they should at least forcefully transfer all twitch streamers with more than 100,000 subscribers to the countryside for 10 years.
- I read somewhere once that any streamer with a regular audience of at least 12 viewers is within the top 1% of all steamers, so you may have to lower your subsriber threshold a bit

- Not to discount how much cognitive disease these internet weirdos are spreading, but when I was a kid I'd listen to Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell every night on a portable radio. It was probably even more severe brain rot, with stories about Area 51 aliens or how to deal with hauntings in your garage. I used to believe it was all real and I'd end up a psychic or something someday.
  Brainrot media has always existed, there's just more of it now and it's more easily accessed. Back when I was a kid you had to go to a convention or learn how to operate a ham radio, but it was all the same thing. Go look around Usenet forums from the 80s too

America is essentially forced into cleaning up the mess because their agent, The Boss, stole american nukes (davy crockett recoilless rifles) to give to the badguy after she defected. (of course, spoilers ensue and nothing is as simple as it seems) but in today's political climate i could easily see a less principled team trying to shoehorn in some messages about how evil russians are and especially how evil the soviet communists were.

Well, start where it started (kinda).
The original Metal Gear Solid on PS1 is still surprisingly playable. It was an INSANELY "before its time" game back then. The graphics, the cutscenes, the music, the story and even the gameplay from those early says of 3D being a new innovation still holds up. So if you wanted to, you could just play it in an emulator.
But if you want to play it on a modern system, the entire series just got re-released (well, like half of the games so far).
I would recommend just following the numbered releases and just playing Metal Gear Solid games. The Metal Gear (no solid) are much older and don't hold up as well gameplay-wise, imo. I'll probably get yelled at or something for that, but I played the OG ass MG game on NES as a kid. Most NES games sucked then and still suck. I'm sorry!
So I would just play MGS1, 2, and of course 3. 4 is also good, but imo, that run of 1,2,3 are the golden trio or whatever. 5 is good too, but maybe just because I'm old af and have nostalgia, I definitely prefer the PS1/PS2 era ones far more.
Due to the non-chronological order and the mysterious nature of the games, a person could conceivably play them totally out of order and piece together the story. If you wanted to go chronologically then I think MGS3 goes back the furthest.
Just be ready to enter into a crazy universe. Once you get into MGS you never get out (👀)
