Are Californians the most annoying people?
every kind of american is the most annoying person but they're up there
I take it you've never been to Los Angeles. LA should take the blame for introducing the "yoga wine women" to your old area.
Also, by "LA" I mean Century City, Westwood, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Venice, Malibu, & the SFV, aka "the porn capitol of the world", where I grew up. Long time residents call it "Hell-A" for a reason.
I mean as insufferable as the tech valley is, you can't match the shittiness and pure demonic ego of a city that has it's own song, written in the 80s, no less: https://inv.tux.pizza/watch?v=KcADqxnQA_4
EDIT: I wanted to add that LA is the image most people have in mind when they talk about CA. Sorry.

Texans. I say this as a dumbass from Texas.
death to (and I cannot stress this enough) ALL of America
The only time I actually felt judged for being from bum fuck nowhere was when talking to a Californian. They reek of holier than thou
that has been my experience everywhere i've lived because i grew up in a flyover state that most americans probably can't even point out on a map
average american knowledge of very basic american geography is an ongoing and expanding embarrassment.
I met a lot of people from a lotta places in the US. I met a lot of people from Texas. maybe a half dozen of them weren't in dire need of an ass kicking.
I'm from Ohio, we literally gave you JD Vance, what more do you want from us to prove that we are the actual worst? couch-fucking competitions at the state fair? MORE sanctimonious lectures? piles of corncobs and cholesterol?
You could be from the state that gave the American electoral system Sarah Palin.
I've lived in many states and ohio is the worst one.. it's more redneck than actual rural farm states like the dakotas
Home furnishing rizz.
spouse & I agree on this placement of Skibidi
Was Street Fight Radio the inverse Hillbilly Elegy or something lol
All American's are fairly equally annoying.
Yes. It's partially the accent but everything else doesn't help.
California has the most annoying yuppies, but not the most annoying overall.
maybe, but definitely the most self-centered you'll find anywhere
people in CA literally act as if they're the only person who exists in the whole world, all the time, by default
Speaking as a Californian
Yes
Yeah. The accent is the worst. And if you meet one outside of America you are guaranteed to have found a particularly ripe specimen
Repeat after me:
"Melk."
"Pellow."
Some of the most annoying people in the world are Californians, but in my own experience they're statistical outliers and should not be counted.
Otherwise "most annoying people" is such a broad, non-specific category that you could make a case for basically any group of 2 or more people being the most annoying. I'm personally annoyed by Seppophilic Norwegians and by Seppos in Norway, and I doubt anybody else is gonna mention those types of people.
Oh boy, you probably never met Seppophilic Poles... Maybe for the better.
I just got back from Oregon, and that was pretty annoying. Maybe Oregon is just a moon of California so it doesn't really count to treat them as separate phenomena.
Depends on if it's the Portland side, or out east where it's mostly a bunch of Idaho-adjacent white supremacists
I was all over, and I was impressed by how many ways they found to annoy me.
No, I am the most annoying person
Aha so like where is minneapolis? Is that a state or a cityy
I mean, I can't judge, if I'd not seen one with me eyes...
God, I hope so!
I live in Austin so yes
It's about what annoys you. I'm from Texas, and the cali transplants there are especially awful. Everyone choosing to move to Texas from California is objectively in the running for the worst person ever award and they somehow got in n out imported even though in the great hierarchy of burgerland, in n out is positively dogshit. nobody needed lines shutting down dallas area traffic for the most mid burger you'll ever overpay for.
But Texas has native brands of insufferable, including really insufferable prosleytizing christians, busybodies shoving their nose in your business, and an appreciably oversized contingent of outright fascists
I moved to seattle in 2018 as a uhaul lesbian, and the big culture shock is the profound amount of passive aggression and conflict avoidance. The utter indifference and lack of care for anything not in the immediate concern the average washingtonian is alarming sometimes. I prefer it to Texas busybodies though. The quickest way to get people to give a shit is seeing somebody fuck with you when you're minding yoru own business.
The kind of place where you can eat pavement riding your bike through an industrial park to get to work and nobody even stops to check on you, but if somebody is being a bigot at you on the bus, the person is likely to get jumped. It's real weird, and i'd change it if i could
washington drivers suck shit and dont know what traffic laws are, but all the cali plates i see are like that plus they're trying to actively get you killed
There are regional ways of being annoying that Californians have, and then they also vigorously export their shit too, and that's why i think they probably suck more than the national average
at least until you get to new york
fuck new yorkers.
I'm from Ohio and have really only been to the East Coast, so on surface I want to say California seems really cool. Amazing beaches, pretty happening place. If I put my leftism aside and look at things differently, I can see myself liking California.
But to me it also looks like one of the most hypocritical states. Some of its progressiveness is to be commended, but never get between a Californian homeowner and their precious property values. They genuinely see the housing crisis as "worth it" just for their property values. Try a free market approach and want to relax zoning and build more housing to meet the sky-high demand? They will gleefully block it all and tell their children to "go and bring progressive values to red states" or queer people who are rich enough to leave red states to "stay and fight" their hopeless battle. They don't see the state as a state, but more like a country club.
If I ever get a high-paying job, I think I'll fuck off to New York or Washington or something when leaving Ohio.
They're up there for sure, seconding the self-centered and holier than thou while actually as bigoted and fucked up as everywhere else, if not more so, think of the Armistices from Get Out. The midwest has passive aggressiveness as the default, in CA it was pretty open or the hostile but pretending to be civil ploy.
I mean considering their bizarre and deranged reactions to other people using their signal lights I would yes they top the list of most annoying
thesis: California is worst
antithesis: Texas is worst
synthesis: Yankkkees are the worst and those are the two largest subdivisions of them
