I'm pretty sure at this point I've made several people wish death on me, or at least significant misfortune.
Being a leftist who believes in the civic duty to reduce harm through voting for less right leaning politicians does not make you popular with very many people at all.
I'm just some guy, I do what makes me happy, I do my best to be considerate but if my happy fucks up your day I dont care. If that isnt good enough for you, I still dont care.
I hope I'm well liked, I generally try to make good comments and be helpful/positive if I can manage it. That being said, I also know I will not get along with everyone and that's ok too. You can't please everyone, it's just human nature that some people won't get along.
I don't think anyone who knows me hates me. I'm pretty easy to get along with.
Online...
That largely depends on who you talk to. Lots of people dislike my opinions.
Christofascists, white supremacists, white nationalists, racists, anti-vaxers, neo-Nazis and Nazis, anti-choicers, anti-maskers, Covid deniers, vegan extremists, incels and incucks, Puritans, the US Taliban, magats and the anti-reality crowd, the convoyists, the Save-The-Children crowd and Queen Dildo and her ragtag band of morons, PETA, the rabid pro-gun I'm-terrified-of-everything-so-I-need-a-grenade-launcher-to-buy-donuts crowd, and others seem to dislike the things I say. Of course tankies, trans extremists, the anti-gun crowd, and others who hate the first group also dislike some of the things I say. Just about everyone who lives in an echo bunker dislikes the reality I speak.
I say things that many people dislike but they tend to be the controlling-what-other-people-do mob and people who live in evil bunkers but generally I think I'm a good person and the people around me seem to think so too no matter where they lie on the political, religious, or social spectrum.
I think people hate me more online than here, especially on Lemmy compared to Reddit. However, I find the people here who hate me are looking to hate in general.
People hate me more irl but there's assholes everywhere. It's just that "outside" is where the professional assholes go once they turn pro, so there's always bigger assholes irl. The wannabe assholes have to practice their skills online first before they can make it in the big league.
People hate me everywhere :( Odd thing about that though, one consistent theme in my life is it's always the commoners who hate me while the authority figures don't mind me. With only one exception, the few times authority figures didn't like me, they were commoner fill-ins. As for why they hate me, it has been traced to both marginalizationandgossip.
