Police arrested Luigi Mangione, 26, after a tip that he had been spotted at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Mangione had a gun consistent with the weapon used in the shooting and writings critical of the insurance industry, police said.
“To the Feds, I’ll keep this short, because I do respect what you do for our country. To save you a lengthy investigation, I state plainly that I wasn’t working with anyone,” the document said, according to the official.
It also had a line that said, “I do apologize for any strife or traumas but it had to be done. Frankly, these parasites simply had it coming.”
My eternally melted brain post-Epstein is making me immediately think "No way this shit is real. They just want to try to pack him up by saying he confessed to avoid dealing with a jury and the possibility that people say "Eh... 🤷♂️""
what kind of "gamer techbro" writes a handwritten manifesto knowing that it makes it so much harder to publicize or replicate? but it makes sense if a cop is hand-copying it from ChatGPT to avoid having to provide online provenance or mock up a believable flash drive (with just this document on it?) and appropriate dates
Some people need better media literacy. MSM will never truthfully release what's actually in the manifesto if he even had a manifesto in the first place. The closest thing to a "manifesto" are compilation of his social media. And this is all assuming Luigi isn't being set up as a patsy.
What is preventing you personally from redacting a healthcare CEO today? You don't have to answer. It's an easy question to guess at.
One dude having a break is not a movement, it's not proof of anything. Half of you just found out about propaganda of the deed yesterday and the day before, the half that knew about it, just regurgitated Lenin quotes against it.
By the way no serious anarchist or insurrectionist anarchist collective called a reactionary killing someone "propaganda of the deed" otherwise half of history would be considered "propaganda of the deed" by anarchists.
If he could, would that be based or cringe? He's an Ivy League guy, so his family probably has access to one of those good grimoires that let you raise wights instead of simple zombies, so on the one hand, he could get up to all kinds of CEO-on-CEO shenanigans, but on the other hand, that would also make him a wight supremacist.
I'm currently coping and seething because the guy with a "Death to America" siggy on a forum thought my phrasing was a little cringe despite having an anarchist historian portmanteau user name. I'm literally neurodivergent and a miner.
If you had 2 braincells to rub together you'd understand that, the AP as an imperial liberal outlet would have a vested interest in showing this man as a puerile enemy of the state rather than creating apologetics ex nihilio around his views.
I mean, I don't even fully believe that this is the shooter, which makes all of the fantasies about him being some sort of avatar for working class resentment even more silly from my perspective. As far as I know he's just a guy with shitty beliefs and opinions who may or may not be getting strung up for a crime he didn't do, which like isn't good but I think some people are being a little goofy about this.
I mean, I’d like a primary source. I don’t trust AmeriKKKan “news” orgs to do anything but bootlick the cops, breathlessly reprint their press releases, and join in the attempts to quell unrest or class consciousness after events like this one.
I’m still hoping for more radicalization and adventurism even if this guy is a and is also actually the culprit. I still got excited when McConnell’s sister-in-law ate shit in one of Elmo’s bazinga cars.
Most Americans are bootlickers, he doesn't need to be the ideologically perfect specimen to say he did damn good in one regard.
Shit's bigger than him anyway. Look at the reaction. Look at the conversation that's starting.
Whatever his other tech-bro views are - I haven't seen a single miss in regards to how ghoulish the private healthcare system is and what needs to be done to fix it. That's what we should be looking at. That's what he did. When a politician has a shit take it's bad because they have power over things. This is just a young man, the only power he had he used in a good way. Unless he starts soapboxing about some other shit now that he could get some attention I really don't care.
Pretend that he's something more than every other lone wolf shooter who are typically alienated people with Neo-reactionary beliefs of various levels of seriousness.
I love these comments more than the actual attempts to rehab this dude because "being mad" is literally the undercurrent that drives the rehabilitation. I frankly don't give a shit about this guy anymore. I'm simply tired of seeing this lazy shit on my page, and waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Easy: death of the author. If this is the guy his work is already out there for people to interpret & draw their own conclusions from, his own intentions/views don't really matter.
The assassination of a health insurance CEO was met with widespread popular support. We saw people with signs & banners with the message the shooter left at the scene. It's still too early to say but we may get copycats following in their footsteps.
The shooters own views/reasons matter less than what people take away from this, and it seems like the takeaway is plenty of Americans (and others) support killing health insurance executives.
I mean its a Setup anyway , State can not leave such a Act without presenting somebody that fits .. so they proably wrote that selfloving stuff in there as well ..
Btw how nice that he had so much compromat on him , without it , that would be a really hard case to make in Court.
Yeah at this point I am 99% sure this Luigi guy is not the actual shooter. People need to stop taking the feds and NYPD at their word like what the fuck people.
Yeah, I don't trust NYPD or the feds. While the official line isn't impossible, it seems a bit too good to be true for them. I'm in the camp there's a good chance it isn't and they needed someone to frame.
From that point of view, it makes sense that the feds want to look better for still failing to have caught the real assassin.
Assuming he isn't just a patsy, he should've released the manifesto. Now we're going to have MSM make up some bullshit that was never there. And whatever manifesto that eventually gets released will almost certainly be completely made up by the feds.
