- Roasted lobster tail and goat cheese fig salad
Served with some sparkling rosé. My local store had tails on sale and I had not had them in a while. Never want to go that long again without having them because boy is lobster really good.
This was just a simple recipe of melted butter with garlic, dill, paprika, old bay, salt and pepper brushed over it before and after following this recipe since they also had a video on how to cut the lobster. Though I ended up using my fingers for most of it.
The salad was another easy recipe and we ended up mixing some of the extra goat cheese and lobster drippings together for a delicious cracker topping.
- Chicken Gyros
Made chicken gyros today, made the chicken, tzatziki sauce, and the pita bread. It all tasted fantastic.
- Homemade Burrito Bowls
Cilantro lime rice, garlic black beans, chipotle chicken, queso fresco, corn salsa, fresh lettuce.
- Highland Samoas
These are basically samoas (the Girl Scout cookie) built on top of full sized Scottish shortbreads, laden with caramel, toasted coconut, and dipped in chocolate. Normal samoas are designed so you can eat the whole box before you hate yourself. These accomplish that aim with just one.
- I Made Crispy Chicken Tacos
Crispy chicken tacos. Breaded chicken tenders additionally seasoned with cumin and chili powder, spicy slaw, chipotle creme, queso fresco cheese, on flour tortillas.
- I ate a dirty baked potato
That's why I'm up at 230am with heartburn. Worth it!
The ranch is homemade but I put the homemade BBQ sauce on it instead. It's from a mom and pop BBQ place.
- I made falafel and lentil flat bread
I made baked falafel with red lentil flat bread for the wrap. I baked them just because it's easier then frying all these for a family but, still they are delicious. The lentil wraps are great with it as well. Honestly, 7-10 years ago if you told me that some of my favorite meals to make would be plant based.... I'd chuckle and dismiss it. I mean I still enjoy cooking meat but, yeah plants make super satisfying, cravable meals.

- A salad my friend made at work for some photographers at our new restaurant.
I work at a newly opened restaurant and we had photographers come in to take pictures of the food. My friend is in charge of our salad station and created this masterpiece.
- A (mostly) foraged meal
I wass lucky enough to find some morels while walking the dog today, so I made pasta with morels and wild garlic and a cocktail made with homemade elder syrup.

- It has mushrooms and bell peppers added
- I live in New England, not Pennsylvania
This was a great way to use up the last of my leftover prime rib.

- Tikka Masala Potato Grating ala randomness with Ramen Eggs
As there is no recipe i can only list what i used: Potatoes Carrots Zucchini Onions Porre Bacon Shrimps Premade Tikka Masala Cheese
- Spicy Chicken Fried Rice w/ pan fried pork dumplings
The dumplings didn't turn out as pretty as I like but for a first attempt I'm very happy. They just didn't want to release from the pan.
- Prime rib, pommes puree inspired by American loaded potatoes, and maple butter carrots with cinnamon and nutmeg
The prime rib was roasted at 200° F to 123° internal temperature and then reverse seared.
The pommes puree had some of the butter replaced with rendered bacon fat. Then fresh mini mozzarella balls and chives were added.
The carrots are pretty much as described.
My boys declared the potatoes to be the hit of the night, which I get. Dang are they rich!
- so, we're doing sushi, eh?
I was never big on photographing my food but I found this one particularly pretty. It was over a decade ago, and I don't remember what restaurant it was. Somewhere in NYC.
- Surume-Ika, grilled squid with ginger sauce
I knew all these pictures of food would come in handy one day.
