White Pride
White Pride
White Pride
oops! all cum
196g
white pride
yeah that tracks for those radlibs
:data-laughing: I can't believe this went through
White rainbow would be pretty sick ngl
The atmosphere working as a reverse prism
Moonbows can sometimes look white
There's a cool scene in LotR where Saruman, the White Wizard, reveals that he has started wearing robes that aren't white, but actually composed of tiny little rainbow threads that read as white from a distance. This symbolizes his desire to climb beyond his station and claim greater power.
Your comment made me think of it so I thought I'd share.
Is this real???
Needs a Siegrune instead of the S on the candy
Mmmmmm cum skittles
Mayonnaise flavor candy
"shoplift these specifically"
The first time I've seen actual anti-pink washing
That's so funny how unfortunate that is. Like there was one marketing intern who recognized it but was drowned out by a bunch of other people. Unless they're actually doing a dog whistle, and I doubt it, that's hilarious.
Ngl i kinda want the mayo skittles
Since 2017
Are you fuckin' for real lmao? Doing the 'All Lives Matter' shit AND calling it 'white pride'? This is deliberate.
The 'charitable' side of me thinks they knew and did it for the controversy.
ed: I do appreciate it being pointed out that the 'white pride' is indeed a store label, which is not a part of the Skittles branding itself. It does lead me to wonder if they had any idea this would be the labeling used
The white pride thing is the store's label.
I think the point they're trying to say is that only the pride rainbow matters in June, so they've removed theirs in an attempt to show people they're not just a rainbow-washing corporation like the rest. But in the end they're just using Pride as a marketing tool and are hardly different than the rest.
They're doing "clever" rainbow washing by forcing you to do the association with Skittles and rainbow in your head. It's the exact same as the rest, but they can't add the rainbow to their product, so they have to remove it instead.
I mean that's just some grocery store calling it that lol it's obviously not the official name
dunno how they couldn't see that coming though
"Only one rainbow matters"? How did they fly under the radar with this bullshit for so long?
Yeah. I'm amazed they didn't "apologize" and backtrack, but I'm pretty sure most controversial marketing campaigns are by design.
I knew it was a long time
Because I remember it happening under Trump and everyone being mad about it
Their brand slogan uses to be Taste the Rainbow. Just fucking use that for pride month.
