- On a serious note though, i hate this so much. This is clearly just a homophobic/transphobic move but like, cishet couples shouldn't have to "prove" that they've been trying to conceive for 2 years either. what the fuck?
  
  Surely a cishet couple would only need to prove that they're medically incapable of conceiving? Like what's the point of trying for 2 years in a case where it just isn't going to happen?

I really do not care for Britain
I know here there's weird policing of relationships privacy especially around welfare. It always grosses me out, especially when things like welfare are predicated on your partner being broke too (both enabling abuse and making someone who was previously able to make rent become a direct large financial burden on a partner, reinforcing a class divide)
