  Ultimately it is the individual's decision what they want to stand up to. It's not "catering to bigotry" to choose to avoid a single battle. Yeah not sure what the intended outcome of this even is. Are they supposed to see that and think, "oh wow, maybe it is better to support this group I hate, I'm convinced!"?
