I really wish she'd just come out and say that she's trans, it's really not that big of a deal. Nobody would make her feel bad for it, no one is looking to dead-name her or anything, except maybe members of her own party. It’s always disappointing to see people who think themselves reasonable delighting in the usage of slurs when given the opportunity to tear down someone they perceive as disliked by their community. It is much more damning to them than the object of their ire.
