Katy Perry felt 'battered and bruised' by Blue Origin backlash

Put in /c/slop instead of /c/elchisme because Katy Perry tries really hard to be a public figure and wants to be relevant more than anything else.
I cannot imagine pitching in time and money to buy a billboard to protect the feelings of multimillionaires and billionaires. 24 hours in Times Square must have cost a fortune. Think of all the things you could have done instead with that kind of money and community organizing.
Parasociality and its more old-school cousin, fan culture are pretty weird.
I can't imagine being that attached to a musician. Even when it comes to like the greatest living ones I can think of, ones who shaped much of my tastes, the most I do is recommend their music when it's relevant to do so and maybe see them at a local show.
Remember when people tried to raise $100 million via GoFundMe for Kylie Jenner to make her the "youngest self-made female billionaire?"
No?! The fuck?! There are children starving to death and people wanna give their money to someone with hundreds of millions? We really are cooked as a species.
I was flabbergasted by that as well. What a waste of money. Parasocial relationships are truly awful
