  • Fate: The Cursed King, as recommended by the Low Spec Games copypasta.

Almost finished my chemically-enhanced (ie. weed) playthrough of Xenogears.

  • I havent started yet, but I want to play Emperor of the Fading Suns: Enhanced.

It’s a space 4X game with a planetary layer and a focus on warfare and political machinations, set in a totally-not-Dune/40k-inspired universe. It’s an old game from the 1997, but now it can actually be played without slowdowns. It was very ambitious for its time. Now with stuff like Modding support and cleaner pixels etc.

  • Ive been playing rift of the necrodancer. Ive never been one for rhythm games outside of playin rockband with friends when I was a kid but holy shit this game is good. Its got a really good twist on the notes coming down the board in that theyre all lil enemies with varying mechanics. Bats that switch lanes after bein hit, harpies that move two tiles every other beat and a few others.

Having really simple mechanics changing up the rhythm game formula has just sucked me in

  • I've been playing Last of Us 2 on pc. It's pretty fun.

I don't know how I feel about the story yet, it's not told chronologically and I feel that it is to its own detriment.

You aren't really built up to caring for the characters and some of their developments fall flat. But I haven't finished it yet so idk.

Also the dialogue is uniquely "game-like" in some circumstances and it's jarring when it happens.

I will say though...gameplay wise. It is out-fucking-standing I mean some of the best I've ever encountered. Stealth bordering on metal gear levels of quality with quick and fluid combat to back it up. The AI outsmarts me, flanks, fakes me out, etc...

So far I've enjoyed the encounters the best and the rogue like mode second.

Maybe the story will grow on me. I'm not sure

  • Xenoblade X. I'm 90 hours in and have only just finished the main campaign. I still have a chunk of side missions and affinity quests before the new content.

I'm rocking a squad of 4x level 60 skells and I'm nearly maxed in all 6 classes.

    The game is so fun

  • I’ve been spending a lot of my free time playing different stuff recently. Tetris: The Grand Master 4 just came out after 20 years without an entry so I’ve been trying that out a bit. Unfortunately a little scuffed and barebones but still pretty fun, and I didn’t think this game was ever going to release at all so I’ll take what I can get. I’m taking another shot at Metroid: Zero Mission as well, and I’m about a third (I think) of the way through the Playstation version of Shin Megami Tensei. I’ve also been getting back into osu! recently and occasionally doing a run in Shiren the Wanderer 2.

  • Been playing through DMC 5 again. I wish they would have given Virgil his own proper expansion DLC, at least with some more cut scenes or something. He is fun to play though, like really really fun. I like the focus mechanic that builds a special meter when you don't sprint and precisely land your attacks. Really sells the power fantasy walking all ominously into combat and having it actually power you up.
