Early off-again-on-again co-host of chapo. She was controversial for heavily prioritizing "working class politics" over "identity politics". (Being very generous here because I don't recall the specific).
It's probably worth mentioning that as much as there's been struggle sessions about her stupidpol takes, there's also been a lot of people (moreso in the subreddit days) that were just weird about her for being a woman, as well as people making comments about her race. The whole thing where people started replying "Amber" to the posts that mentioned her was a way of mocking how often there was discourse about her (like I'm doing right now).
It's pretty important that we differentiate Marxist criticisms of liberal identity politics (which are valid) from class reductionist criticisms of intersectionality (which... not so much.) Amber's problem is that she keeps sliding along this scale into class reductionism.
Also yeah back during the subreddit days people were kinda weird about her.
