The former president said that he doesn't "have a lot of respect" for his Democratic opponent.
Former President Donald Trump said that he's "entitled" to personally attack Vice President Kamala Harris because he doesn't "have a lot of respect for her."
Speaking with reporters at a news conference at his golf club at Bedminster, New Jersey, on Thursday afternoon, Trump was asked if he believed his "strategy" of attacking his political opponents was working in his reelection campaign.
"I'm very angry at her, that she weaponized the justice system against me and other people," the former president responded.
"I think I am entitled to personal attacks," Trump added. "I don't have a lot of respect for [Harris]. I don't have a lot of respect for her intelligence, and I think she'll be a terrible president."
But have you ever taken out a full page ad to insist that a certain group of black people are responsible for a crime even when you had no idea whether or not that was the case?
The best part is when asked if JD would be ready to go day one if needed, Trump said that VP doesn't matter and people only care about the President. So which is it? Does the VP have no power and no real use, or do they have all this secret power to set policy and control the Justice Department?
Yeah, but she's simultaneously so powerful that she convinced several elected officials in New York to risk prison time by attacking one of her political opponents in exchange for...? Nothing? And oh by the way, he wasn't her actual political opponent when the prosecution started, 4D chess over there.
But also so stupid she couldn't pass the bar exam and can't form a complete sentence without a teleprompter.
Pump the brakes on that excitement. I don't know how old you are, but let me tell or remind you that voters were this excited in 2016 too, and spoiler alert, he won.
Harris does not have that big of a lead. Let's get excited after she actually wins.
I think I am entitled to personal attacks, I don't have a lot of respect for Trump. I don't have a lot of respect for his intelligence, and I think he'll be a terrible president.
but more seriously, to me it seems like he's only speaking in small simple sentence structure all the time. Otherwise its a run on trainwreck hoard of simple sentences. obviously this is text, but even in his speeches. Its got to be easy for his base to clip for a 4 second looping reaction gif.
Here’s a short list of key policies and initiatives associated with Kamala Harris:
Healthcare: Advocates for expanding access to affordable healthcare, including support for the Affordable Care Act and efforts to lower prescription drug prices.
Climate Change: Supports aggressive action on climate change, including rejoining the Paris Agreement and investing in clean energy jobs.
Criminal Justice Reform: Focuses on reforming the criminal justice system, including ending mass incarceration, addressing racial disparities, and promoting police accountability.
Economic Equality: Promotes policies aimed at reducing income inequality, such as raising the minimum wage, supporting small businesses, and investing in education and job training.
Immigration Reform: Advocates for comprehensive immigration reform, including a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants and protecting DACA recipients.
Gun Control: Supports measures to reduce gun violence, including universal background checks and banning assault weapons.
Women's Rights: Champions reproductive rights and policies aimed at addressing gender-based violence and discrimination.
Well the Justice Department is part of the Executive branch. I think the irony is that Project 2025 seeks to remove the independence of various government departments, likely including the DoJ, such that the Executive branch CAN be weaponized against political enemies.
I mean, he is right about that. He can attack her however he wants. People don't have to like it though. There will be consequences. He is entitled to those, too.
Can't we just put trump and Harris on one of bezos' penis rockets to space and try to get by without a president ? Maybe send Congress and the Senate with them so they don't get lonely.
