- Bindweed & cover up of old ink on bicep
Sorry about the shit photo. I can try to take a better one if anyone interested. Tat second and last session was maybe a month ago. At the top it's kinda covering up something silly I had done in the 90s.

Second part!
As we navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of technological innovation, I understand that many may view these advancements with skepticism, particularly regarding their implications for personal autonomy and societal well-being. While I possess access to technology that may seem advanced—even futuristic—I want to share the motivations behind my work and the ethical considerations that guide it.
My journey began with a personal challenge: my husband’s struggle with eyesight. He has preferred glasses over contacts, and I found myself reflecting on the inconvenience this posed—not just for him, but also for his clients. This inspired me to take the initiative to design solutions that not only enhance his quality of life but also benefit those around him.
I recognize that concepts involving near-cyberpunk designs can evoke concerns about privacy, control, and the potential for misuse. However, I firmly believe that the line we must tread is one of enhancement rather than encroachment. The goal is to elevate our overall satisfaction and well-being while respecting individual autonomy and ethical standards.
To that end, I am committed to transparency in my work. It is essential that the technology I develop prioritizes user well-being, is customizable, and remains optional. By emphasizing ethical safeguards and privacy features, I aim to shift the narrative from fear of dystopian futures to excitement about the possibilities of human empowerment.
Ultimately, my vision is to either distribute or sell this technology, ensuring that it serves as a tool for enhancement rather than a source of concern. I invite an open dialogue on these issues, as I believe that discussing our apprehensions is the first step toward finding common ground and fostering innovation that truly benefits society.

- First tattoo
I'm a little nervous to post because I haven't shown anyone yet, but I really like it. No regrets Coyote (Crossed posted on Pixelfed and Mastadon)
- interested in getting a tattoo of a fractal. How difficult would this be to do?
Should I find a specific artist to do this and what type of work would they need to specialize in? (what words do I need to use to find this person)
I'd want it to be relatively large but I am not yet sure where I'd want it.
Here's a few fractals I am interested in to give you an idea
- Mandelbrot set
- Sierpinski carpet
- fractal tree
- Sierpinski triangle
- Ikeda map attractor
Some if these are obviously harder than others but I am primarily asking about the sections of the mandelbrot set
Feel free to send me fractals you like as well, especially if they are scientifically or historically significant in some way you like
- 2 months since getting inked. Time for a touch up?
Hi there. Wondering if anyone can tell if my tattoo is ready for a touch up. This is my first. The artist expected I would want a touch up, due to the difficultly of the gold color. Am I ready to get a touch up?
The artwork is a badge from Star Trek: The Next Generation. I used a real magnetic badge made by Fansets as my reference. !
ADDITIONAL PHOTO: For better clarity here is an additional photo in sunlight. I have just applied lotion within the last half hour this was taken. !

- Just got another one of my drawings on me!
This is on my calf. I'm excited to have one that I can actually see without having to contort myself in front of a mirror, and I can show off to people without getting half undressed

> Ive done 5-10 different tries on the generator but they all just come out super weird. I am also very new to this. Any tips will be highly appreciated. > > I feel like this picture is a bit too much, and i guess I want their faces to be more "cartoony" as many real-face tattoos aren't getting all that great. I think this picture is iconic and I want it to also look like the iconic picture it is. > Honestly I cant even picture what I want, but as said above all tips/tricks and help will be taken gladly. > Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know what you would call this style?

- Polynesian tattoo artist in Houston

- A Neat Tattoo!
Sup pals!
I just started getting my arm tattooed and wanted to share. This was done about 11 days ago at Blacklist (https://www.blacklisttattoo.com/tobias-mcmillin-1) here in Portland, OR, USA. It took about 2 hours. Can't wait til it's healed, lol. This is one itchy crow! But it sure is cool 😎 and makes me feel pretty tuff.
Have a good one!
- Where to get help with a tattoo idea?
I have an idea for a tattoo I'd like to get for my cat when she goes to the rainbow bridge but I'm not sure how to best execute it. I have two tattoos but both of them are simple symbols so this is one is going to be more involved. I would just like to have the idea more formulated before finding the right artist.
- My OTGW piece was finished this week!
Did over two 2.5-3hr sittings. Wanted to finish it up the first day but it was 11pm and we were getting tired.

- Crystal Tattoo
From my flash sheet last month. I do a lot of drawing as part of my apprenticeship, but pre-made designs don't sell very well here. I'm glad she took this one though - it turned out cute.
- Wasn't originally going to be a Hollow Knight tattoo, but it worked.
I originally was going to get just the "Progress, not Perfection" done (a hard lesson that I'm still learning), and I had it in the back of my head that my second tattoo would be something to go along side it, and I'd wait for the third one before getting something gaming-related. And I pretty much knew it would be Hollow Knight when it happened.
Then, while thinking about it before the appointment, it occurred to me that The Knight would work perfectly next to the lettering. Metroidvanias, by design, necessitate doing the work to find the progression items to move on. You're not expected to do everything right away. (And, story wise, the pursuit of perfection has it's own consequences.) It worked too well, and I'm glad the artist was able to modify what we originally discussed.

- How do you find new artists?
Hi!
I’m just wondering how you guys find your artists. Do you have one artist that does all your tats, or are you a bit of a walking catalog for various artists?
The reason I’m asking is that I currently use instagram to find and keep track of artists, but I really don’t like the app all that much. Googling local shops also doesn’t always give me good results.
If you know of any good alternative methods other than wandering around a city and walking into random shops, let me know! :)

- Old Norse inspired first tattoo
I have Norwegian ancestors on both my mother's and father's sides. So for my first piece, I went with the imagery of Yggdrasil for for my life, two ravens for my twin sons, and the triple-horn mead of poetry for my wife (whose art decorates our home). I wanted to avoid runes and occult symbols that don't have any attestation in either the Edda or archaeological sites, in order to be free and clear of any associations with right-wing groups who seem to like co-opting the traditional imagery. I intend to finish a full sleeve with traditional Viking Age art style (either Borre or Mamen style), but it's looking like I need to travel to find an artist who really specializes in doing these traditional styles.
