Honestly, things like the I-9 and SS numbers are just not very secure and are only usually audited after the fact. Especially if the employer doesn't really care to look too hard at an ID.
The I-9 is just kept on file by the employer and only needs to be made available to ICE if requested. The only requirement of verification of identity with I-9 is the employer must examine the documents and they must reasonably appear genuine and reasonably appear to relate to the person.
So if anybody says the I-9 is to help reduce illegal employment it's not, it's there to pretend to help reduce illegal employment.
As for social security numbers. There is no security around the numbers besides just not telling people your number. The social security administration doesn't have time or personnel to double check payroll taxes.
Oh and lastly I'm sure the IRS secretly likes it when illegal immigrants are employed with a W-2. Illegal immigrants are never going to file their taxes they are too scared that somebody might notice. So they never get a refund it just becomes money in the bank for the government.
Just to continue my tirade a large portion of illegal immigrants in America are gainfully employed with a W-2. They pay taxes, they pay payroll taxes, sales tax when they buy things, fuel tax when they fuel their vehicle, and vicariously property taxes from whoever they are renting from. They never use government services, they are not getting food stamps, medical assistance, temporary funds for needy families, etc, and will never get a social security payout.

You clearly never had Beef Rendang. It is a Indonesian/Malay dish, which is a lot like a coconut curry. It is unbelievably spicy purely looking at it and you start to sweat. But it tastes amazing and I firmly believe it wouldn't taste the same without that level of heat. It is an incredibly intense experience and I guess literally not for those weak of heart. But if you ever get the chance I highly suggest you at least taste it is unbelievably tasty.

This is the best plastic epoxy I have found. JB Weld plastic weld. There are others if you can't get it.
So take it apart. Clean it especially if there is any soap. Let it dry. After it is dry it might not hurt to do a light clean with rubbing alcohol. Then epoxy it back together, per the epoxy instructions. This type of epoxy is very noxious. Do it outside and leave the top outside for a few hours. It is also best to not touch it, use a stick.

Really. I like Williams, I really like the heritage that they represent. I hate seeing them struggling so much. I know it is going to be hard for them to ever be the team they used to be. They just don't have the resources that works teams have. I don't want to see them fall off the grid.

I have to head to work at 3:30 in the morning. Anybody have any thoughts about how to make my bike quieter on start up and fast idle? It's a KLR 650 with an aftermarket muffler. It's not straight pipe loud, but a thumper is going to thump.
I'm currently looking to see if I can find an additional baffle for the exhaus. That I can just slip in real quick on startup.

So this is going to be a little bit of a rant and a little bit of a laugh
A few days ago at work the morning shift manager asked me to lock in the room I was using when I was done. This is because the night shift has been coming in there and not cleaning up after themselves. Unfortunately due to them coming in early and me trying to finish up my work. I was not able to get it locked before they showed up.
I let them know that I've been told to lock the room. I gave them a half hour warning before I had to leave and then a 10 minute warning. They were left willingly. They told me it doesn't matter because they can get back in, because one of the doors didn't lock. For this reason they decided to leave their stuff in the room. They even had to unlock the door that they said didn't lock to leave. As I had already locked that one.
Well surprised Pikachu face. They could not get back in the room and at least one of them had left their car keys in there. About half hour later I got a call from the right manager ask me why I left the room and why I didn't put their stuff outside room, because now he has to drive to work on his day off to unlock the room for them so they can get her stuff (I don't have a key to that room).
I feel like I gave them every opportunity to not have their stuff locked in the room. And I've never been one to be sorry for somebody who's been repeatedly told something is going to happen and then gets surprised when it happens.
I don't think I might have any fallout on this, but still the night manager is a little annoying with me right now. Luckily I only work morning and mid shift. So I don't have to deal with him a lot.
P.S. I have no problem when someone needs help or kindness. We all need support sometime. But if someone wants to do something stupid after they have been told not to, I will not save them.

I bought a 1969ish Yamaha L5T a year ago. It hasn't run in over ten years probably much more than that. Life, work, depression, and my other motorcycles have gotten in the way of me spending much time with it. I always knew it would run but it is so nice to hear it. I have a good bit more work to do on it but now I know it's worth my time.

So back when I was first living on my own. I of course had no money and I still needed coffee. So I just started doing what I would call cowboy coffee. So it looks like I get to go watch the TT this year. Something that I never actually expected to happen. I just found out I would have the time off a week ago so I am a little worried I might be late in finding camping and what not. Has anyone gone who can give me some advice?
