US pier constructed off Gaza has broken apart.
The temporary pier constructed by the US military to transport aid into Gaza broke apart in heavy seas on Sunday in a major blow to the American-led effort to create a maritime corridor for humanitarian supplies into the war-torn enclave, according to four US officials.
If only there were some other way to transport aid into Gaza. Maybe an existing pier or some kind of road. What a shame, I guess we’ll just have to spend another third of a billion on dragging the worlds most expensive artificial reef off the sea floor
