any other dry herb vape fans here?

Been using various dry herb vapes for close to 10 years now. Initially had settled on the Crafty and Arizer ExtremeQ, then I added a Dynavap M (2019). Unfortunately, about 2 years ago I lost all of these (well, they were stolen but that's a different story). I decided to stop combusting entirely and only use dry herb vapes shortly after that happened. I've now got several Dynavaps which are my main devices (from least to most used out of my favourites: WoodWynd, M7 XL, Vong, BB6). I also occasionally use the Arizer Solo 3 but I honestly prefer cycling through my Dynavaps. Oh and I've got the AirVape Legacy Pro but I rarely use it now that I have the Solo 3.

Also a Mighty user. It's so much better than combustion. The smell is significantly less both in the surroundings and on your person. It's more efficient, and with capsules, you can preload a bunch and be ready to load and go on a whim.
Manual cleaning is a pain, but it's extremely simple if you get an ultrasonic cleaner. Disassemble the mouth piece, put it in a baggie covering completely in rubbing alcohol, let it run through the ultrasonic cleaner for less than 10 minutes, rinse and enjoy.
Jewelry ultrasonics can be purchased cheap. I went with a larger harbour freight unit and to me that was worth it. It's also great for cleaning glass pipes too for the times you may want to rip it old school.
- I've used this and it's super easy - only on glass and silicone rough, no electronics involved. Gets into all of the corners and parts you can't reach.

- I disassemble it while still warm and soak the parts in isopropyl for hours. I know some advise against that but I’ve done it for years without damage to the cooling unit.
Yes, it really is. Mine will be 8 years old next month and it still works great. I did a battery replacement on it a few years ago. The case is getting a bit beat up but I think it will still last a while longer.

Went from Pax 3 to TinyMight 2 which was just too much of a good thing so I sold it. These days I use manual vapes because they offer small chamber size and require a bit of a ritual to get going. Tempest and Dani Fusion 2 offer all kinds of experiences I like and The Wand makes them very consistent in results. I succumbed to VAS again though and Tempest 2 is on the way.

Yeah I had an MFLB back in 2012 and I absolutely loved it. Now I have a Super Surfer desktop unit that I still use occasionally but I find it rather bulky and cumbersome to use.

Screwball at home. Ball vapes outperform everything else, by a large margin. Except maybe the butane setups like terpcycle whixh I haven't tried.

Pax 2 user for the past like, 13 years. The button died on my first one a few years ago and I bought an exact replacement. I love it, stuffing in the weed is satisfying and it's super easy to clean. I despise both capitalism and advertising but this is one of the few products I would fully endorse.

Had an electronic one for a while that got me into vapes and off combustion but i forget what it was. The Dynavap VAPCAP is high on my list of devices though.

Arizer lover checking in. Canadian made, rock solid tech. I had an Argo, it never broke through all the abuse I gave it (many drops from waist height on concrete), just outgrew it so I gave it to a friend who's still using it 5 years after purchase. Now using an Air Max with water piece. Still looks almost the same as when I got it 3 years ago, uses removable 26650s which are only just now noticeably losing capacity.

I also have an Air Max, have you had any issues with (for lack of a better term) crumbs/debris when inhaling? I ended up having to use a screen which I've been told shouldn't be necessary, but otherwise I like it.
- I always use a water piece these days, got the 14mm adapter when I got the kit. But before that, occasionally yes. If you're not already, always do a hand break of your flower, a grinder gets it too fine. Fresher herb is always better of course. And a gentle inhale is key. But yeah it's possible to do all that and still sometimes get bits here and there. Hence my personal switch to water. There are also some aftermarket stems that have twisting pathways, namely for cooling vapor but also has the side effect of catching herb bits as soon as a lil resin builds up.

Dry herb vape fan checking in. I got some dynavaps, an arizer extremeQ (desktop) and an arizer air max (portable). I quit smoking years ago just hate the taste of combustion and how it irritates so much.

My daily dynavap is the H2 Helix with a low temp cap for flower and stainless steel m+ for concentrate.

The AVB can be made into infused oils too to stretch it further. It may not be worth the effort, but it's an option. I have so much saved up because I haven't made anything in a while. The high is notably less, but it's nice for a night cap. It's more of a sleepy high than anything.

Can also just dump the AVB into some food, it's so dry that it barely changes the texture compared to fresh weed
- I've heard of people making firecrackers, where it's just sprinkled on say a cracker with cream cheese. I've heard raw it can lead to some digestive distress or gassiness, but I've never tried. I always have done a water soak for a couple of days to clean it before any infusions.
You can make the AVB stronger too, if you want the max effect. Take a few hits at 175c and empty it. And if you regrind using a mortar and pestle, you increase bioavailability. Been loving dry herb vapes since 2016, almost the only way I smoke anymore. Sometimes if I have a bit of crumbly/handleable dab, I'll put just a pinch on the top. Gets absorbed into the flower as it melts so it doesn't fall through the vape (so long as there's not too much), works like a charm.
- I usually sit at 191c, so not a full extraction, but it doesn't leave a ton left. I prefer to get the bigger boost up front rather than boosting the edibles later. Still, I should take what I've got, wash it, and infused it. Maybe just do multiple batches through the same oil and try to bump the total extraction. I'm not sure if it works linearly doing multiple infusions, but with just one it mainly ends in some sub par cookies that make me a little sleepy.
I've made tincture once and a few pounds of budder, but I've never reduced the tincture down to oils (I lack both the equipment and the tools to keep said equipment properly clean) but it doesn't seem too hard. Those electric pressure cookers make budder so easily
- I have an anova sous vide. I put coconut oil and the bud in a mason jar, finger tight the lid, set at a temp (I forgot what, it's been a while) and come shake and burp it frequently. I already had the sous vide, so that was no cost to me, but I don't know that there's a better option out there either than maybe a magic butter machine.
  I think basic sous vide machine can be had relatively cheap now. It's good for this, but great for food.

I've got a Pax 3 and an Xlux Roffu, love both of them. I've got a bong adapter for the Pax so that one gets used the most.

Shout-out to the Pax customer service team, I've had a couple go bad over the years and they always ship me a new one no questions asked.

Use almost daily--recreational, therapeutic. Got one for a friend who struggles with chronic pain to help the wallet and lungs.

Yep, feels a bit different (better) than liquid vape to me. Could just be in my head though. I use Dynavap or Tinymight (usually with a glass adapter and little bong).

I just received a quartz TED last week. Got an 18mm because I've tried a dry herb pen, and it just seemed to be too little.

It's fucking amazing. 10/10. Tastes like flowers and not as harsh as burning it. I've only smoked two of three bowls since getting it because I'm lazy sometimes. The ritual is soothing, it feels like you're doing a science experiment with the manual heating, and it's been really cool trying out different coarseness of the bud and different heat levels, fast extraction vs slow, etc.

I don't think I'll level up from pot head to cannabis connoisseur. I'm just fascinated by how much more you can get from the plant by vaporizing it. Even the avb has uses. While I'm not a huge fan of concentrates, the vapor condenses to the inside of the tube and builds up after a couple of sessions. I scrape it out and hit a dab to top off the smoke session.

I've been curious, and from what I hear, it's probably something we should be doing, but we're so used to old fashioned joints that we haven't bothered to research getting a vape rig or anything.

I like joints especially at night as nothing hit like them then for some reason, but I daily drive my dynavap and have for a while now and it's perfect until I get a endgame ball vape setup instead and just stick with that lol
