Being disabled is terrible. Everybody thinks less of you, don't want to be your friend, date you and don't think you're worth listening or talking to. Sometimes I even get bullied.

That is the same experience that I have as a child in the family of victims of Communism who embrace the very toxic brutal authoritarian practices that supposedly victimize them. The teaching of my extended family of victim of communism in the Hong Kong Canadian community is that repression is self-inflicted, that the repressor only repress bad people, and that repression is always avoidable. This principles should be a red flag that the victims of Communism were never victims of human rights violations. In fact, my father, who is a pastor of a curropted Protestant Christian church, boost that armed gangster boogymen rule Canada and that everyone should obey thugs and delinquents to gain favor from armed gangsters. He preached that even the police will not arrest armed gangsters and that the police will knowingly arrest innocent people under the commands of armed gangsters. The local Canadian community all side with the ableist people because of the political privilege of victim of Communism.
I think one of the things that disgusts me the most is that what you do is never enough. Not for the govt, not for any job you MIGHT get; you're always expected to go above and beyond despite your own physical limitations in the economy we live in. But not too far.

Gathered all of my coworkers to discuss the making of a plan to undermine our management as our working conditions are horrendous. And we did come up with a proposal. If they won't listen or the answer isn't okay for us, we will take further action. And if that doesn't work, we will deny them their authority and start working on our own agreed upon terms.

Anyone think there is a reason they're reopening Alcatraz? Sure, drumpf saw it on TV or what not but I am now thinking of the reasons a offshore black-site near San Fran could offer.
Then again, there's probably a couple of black-sites all over the country, so what's the point of this big, shiny one outside of a huge city? Intimidation? My mind went to it being a convenient way to do mass deportations by shipping them down if they can't get air-access or other concerns (cheaper/more could be deported by boat)...except only 300 something could be held there at a time.

So I am walking (at a graduation ceremony) this weekend, it feels hollow though given I still have my entire masters paper to write, and that feels pointless because I am watching the entire field I am a part in get dismantled infront of my eyes.
I'm in a Chinese cultural exchange discord server because of a few friends and the amount of people who are so unbelievably unaware of what is going on the US is crazy.
I guess I've been keeping away from non-left spaces for too long because it was a big shock that when I recommended people to not go to the US I receive pushback as if it's unfounded for you as a non-white to get kidnapped out of nowhere. It will never not be crazy to me how people, especially third-worlders can see the US in any positive light still. And their refutation is that "You don't live there, the people who live there would know". Which clearly doesn't hold up.

Thing is there are many Americans in ther server, especially White males. They legitimately think the Trump deportation stuff is good because it gets rid of gang members. How they ignore all the rest is absurd to me and in fact how any American isn't rabidly against their own "country" is insane.
I've just been feeling like we can't go on like this anymore, not that we could before. But now it's so fucking evident that the US is a fucking dystopia that kidnaps people off the street to send them to a death camp. It seriously cannot get any more obvious than that, imperialism turns inwards and unleashes fascism unto it's own citizens and they still can't face the facts and take action.
What will the West be in the future? Global capitalism is on the decline and will eventually lead to the capitalist collapse but then what? Will the people ever wake up when the final imperialist war happens? It doesn't seem to be that they even have the capability to wake up, all they can do is delude themselves, refuse any form of "leftism" and keep shifting right. The only option then is literally a JDPON as ridiculous as it is, they have literally shown themselves to be incapable of having empathy and doing the right thing, others must to teach them how to do it.

I have some fear about it, but then, I also have fears about a lot of things. In general, it feels hard to muster much headspace for it with everything else going on in the world. Plus like, I don't even really understand it and I don't want to do a bothsidesism unfairly, so there's not much for me to do with the information coming out about it.

Just finished reading The Vegeterian by Han Kang. I think more people should read it but to say it was a fun book goes too far. Disturbing is a better word I guess.
Ultimately it is a critique of the societal role of women in (Korean) society. Also important was the idea that the ultimate enforcer of societal roles is violence and that those who will reject it will be subjected to violence, while at the same time receive another form of violence for not rejecting it.
