It is saturday night and I am currently receiving death threats on social media
  • I understand. Truly I do. It's tiring, disheartening and honestly it disgusts you more than it ever comes close to actually scaring you. Sometimes you get a funny one though. I got threats from funny windmill peter griffin.

  • Any leading lights?
  • May I have the lore on this Winsconscom?

  • Now that president biden is getting tough on israel, yall got any more of them reasons to let trump win?
  • MUH RUZZIAN BOTS!!! ASTROTURFING!! DON'T LET THE FASCISTS WIN!!

  • How to dedollarize your finances?
  • Are you in America? Excuse the answer, but I'm serious. If so-

Water purifier. Big ol' clean metal barrel will do. Preferably not aluminum. Get a filter or make one with bags of clean sand, rocks/gravel and charcoal. Get a lot of charcoal. Rain catchers.

Vitamin and nutrient supplements. Iodine. Prussian Blue. Bleach and disinfectants, masks, gloves. Depends on what you feel would apply to you. Plus they're cheap.

Garden implements. Fertilizer (for gardening, silly.) Tomatoes, onions, potatoes.

(In spaces without dedicated growing spaces you can order indoor grow kits. You can grow more than weed indoors ya know. Combine that with tinned food and you're set.)

Self-defense. Martial arts, a knife, a gun, trapping, etc.

Start talking to others in your community. Not even for the sake of bonding; but knowing who is around you. What their beliefs are. If they are armed. Bond and start talking about community plans with your neighbors and trusted community. Otherwise your investments won't mean much when shit hits the fan.

Most of this is based off the assumption that you want security. Finances, yes, but those finances and investments are for emergencies I imagine. I'm telling you dropping that mindset is better and to invest in things that will make you far more valuable than gold in a shit situation.

You want a physical asset to hold onto? Toilet paper. Not joking.

  • I am so tired of Youtube man, David Zhang's (Falun gong shill) contents keep showing on Youtube
  • Yeah,YouTube, Facebook, Instagram; they've all become captured cesspits.

Something I've noticed is that if you try to have a leftist comm on any platform besides for ones like these you get descended upon by a horde of reactionaries with enough lead in their blood to arm a war.

  • That's the way I see it too
  • Understandable.

How do you deal with radicalizing someone close to you?
  • Thank you! Similar situation with mine.

I'll see if I could find a "loadstone" that intrigues her. If she shows no interest; that's perfectly okay! Just wanted experience.

How do you deal with radicalizing someone close to you?
  • Talk to her about it, mostly. Also curious on experience with politically apathetic people. I've had success in turning some of my lib friends and exposed a few coworkers to radical theory but I've always found those who don't really have any opinion or knowledge beyond just the US president to be difficult to speak to.

  • What will the political effects of climate change be like? (Particularly in the imperial core)
  • Ah, one of my favorite things to talk about. This will be a long one.

Depends on how things unfold. It's hard to look at the imperial core without looking at where they extract from and how corporate colonialism would be affected by it. As capitalism progresses the countries that they rely on now for cheap labor and cheap resources will eventually develop and start cutting out yet again the additional labor and extraction value the capitalists get. They will start wars, manufacture crisis in those nations of course but as we've seen it's no longer America or the IMF picking and choosing the aid of a nation under exploitative terms. Will the imperial core stretch itself out maintaining global hegemony? A lot of fellow Marxists I think underestimate the barbarism or efficiency of the hegemony it has. Up until now and what we've seen in Africa and Syria; the threat of the U.S military alone was enough to have entire fleets of tanks defect. Now nations are growing tired, weary as they turn towards other avenues and some certainly will fall into despotism.

The nations that break away from the imperial hegemony will determine the "material conditions" and changes that you will see personally, in my opinion. For the purposes of sheer speculation, imagine what would happen if Indonesia, a beautiful nation, fell into a military coup or had some sort of catastrophic disaster? The loss of the worlds leading exporter of palm oil. Just look at what it's used for; all of our lives world-wide would change. Deadly wet-bulb temperatures could make nations like that near uninhabitable. Global supply lines aren't flexible enough to reverse areas almost unhospitable to human life, nor the storms that would come with those global changes.

Self-interest will reign supreme globally. You will likely see the E.U begin to distance itself from the U.S, the time it happens depending on how current world events turn out. Even if Russia were to go on a full-on "offensive", you'd have the E.U immediately start gutting itself to fund a defensive coalition and the fledgling military industries they have. The higher standards of life and protections that Europeans enjoy on average compared to Americans would quickly collapse I would imagine. People more educated than me on speculating on Europe could chip in.

Debt will become a problem. Eventually nations in crisis are going to want to cash in their chips and America loves it's debt. We're already seeing nations move away from the dollar and once that debt is called you're going to see the dollar hurt. When will that happen? Who knows. Mind as well be economic doomsday. Interestingly enough, Japan owns the most U.S debt surpassing a trillion. In the United States if the debt is ever called imagine how many of our basic services would collapse? How much would strangle and die previously only surviving on meager subsidies?

    From Cyberpunk RED Corebook:

*"When the collapse hit it was the elderly that were hit first; the millions of Americans who lived on pensions and investments. Seeing their life savings evaporate, they became homeless, or were forced to move in with relatives. A lucky few were able to re-enter the work force.

Many died from either violence or exposure from living on the streets. Sometimes it was treachery from within; Grandma's silver dining set could buy a grandson a lot of chemical excursions from life's pain. Some families pulled together or were forced into clan-like styles of living. Even homeless, some managed to make it, but millions died.

Both the World Bank and the World Stock Exchange were gone. Which meant the United States government had no one to borrow money from. Federal Bonds were cashed in at a rate so high that the government could barely print money fast enough. This made the dollar plummet in value and accelerated the process.

Assets of the executive branch, especially the military reserves, were committed in growing numbers in a Herculean struggle to control the violence spreading like wildfire across America. However, the struggle was futile as the unrest was not limited to "less fortunate" areas and neighborhoods, and could not be isolated. Let it not be said that the men and women who tried to save America did not fight valiantly. They may have saved millions of lives, but in the end, it just wasn't enough."*

Some would argue that we're already living in parts of this.

  • There is a certain "come to" moment to be had when you look at the constructive attitude towards learning and understanding the worldview China has as a "nascent nation" and compare it to a nation like the United States. A lot of those mistake the view of an empire (U.S) "naturally" degenerating when historically there is always reason behind it. The cannibalization of institutions of learning, social programs that kept poverty down and the invoked cultural stigma towards progression via racism, xenophobia and class warfare all serves a purpose to the capitalist as their profit rate degenerates further by their own actions.

There's a certain level of terror one can feel living in the U.S and seeing how much they're willing to sacrifice. Capital is being siphoned upwards as the infrastructure actually crumbles around you. The services and utilities choking and skyrocketing in price as state and county budgets get more strict and the rentiers become merciless. That "come to" moment is seeing what the effects of defunded education, poverty and chemical poisoning did to those in the past and what comes in the future compared to China.

  • The dogs of capital have long leashes and many handlers. There is no way there isn't friends in high places for the Chud Boys.

“At the end of the day, so what? So what if somebody had swastika tattoos on their face?” Harvey asked the jurors. “Incredibly offensive to probably everyone in this room? Absolutely. But what happened to the law? … No matter what, everyone is entitled to equal protection of the law, no matter what they believe.”

Did the dogs actually pay this guy to say this? Feels like he said this and turned towards the camera with a grin and a thumbs up. This entire trial feels like a miscarriage as the prosecutor obviously panders towards right-wing grifters the entire time and apparently his whole career.

  • There is such a stark difference in the comments from Chinese social media compared to American. American social is absurdly negative.

  • You are correct. That is the slang term. It sounds cooler and makes me picture Mecha-Marx.

  • De-Dollarization Is Happening at a ‘Stunning’ Pace, Jen Says
  • I think it's better to look at it in the bigger picture. We all know "Marx's Double-Edged Law"; it is being applied in action here. I think it's interesting at this point in time the capitalists of the United States are considering the sale of it's domestic steel while the E.U oligarchs are beginning to cannibalize their own assets by purchasing increasingly leveraged U.S assets under the auspice of war.

It'll be still a long time before they hit bedrock; but the stones are beginning to show.
