if you owe a bank five hundred thousand dollars, you have a problem.
if you owe a bank a trillion dollars, the bank has a problem.
- But, if the bank has a large military force in and around your country, you're back to having a problem again.

Is japan going to end its lost decades and return to [more independent] imperialism or embrace socialism?
- Socialism. It can't do independent imperialism without one of the great powers smacking it down and destroying its production. It will very likely pivot to align with China within the the next 50 years.
