I'll be bad, but remember that not too long ago there were laws criminalising homosexuality (and often trans people got caught in the crossfire.) I know a few old butch lesbian types who would pretend to be gay cis men so the others could escape during a raid since the laws didn't effect them as much.

I think that the best thing you can do, right now, is to reach out to the transgender people in your lives and tell them you care, and if applicable, that you love them. This goes doubly so for the ones in the UK. I imagine that most, if not all of us really need to be told that someone gives a shit.

Their courage to be who they are, and their description of "something doesn't fucking fit" literally inspired me to look inside myself and come out as ace! No I'm not exaggerating!
