I still want the Muppet D&D movie, where the Muppets are playing at the table and human actors (voiced by the muppets) represent them during the action.
I reallllly want a Muppet version of Die Hard. Gonzo as John McClane, Animal as Karl, Bert as Hans Gruber, Cookie Monster as Sgt. Powell. I want it played completely straight (not a comedic Muppet version, but a straight ahead remake). I want it so bad.
"No Country for Old Men", with the killer played by Sam the blue eagle.
"Brokeback Mountain", with Kermit and Foxzie Bear playing the leads, no human roles.
Rowlf as the unexpected lead in "Lawrence of Arabia", "Fistful of Dollars", and "Fistful of Dollars". In Lawrence of Arabia, only the other British soldiers are played by humans. In the Spaghetti Westerns, the only humans are the women.
"Smokey and the Bandit", with Kermit as the Bandit, Rowlf as the trucker, the bride played by a real person, Miss Piggie as Smokey, and Fozzi Bear as the groom/deputy.
"The Blues Brothers", starring Kermit and Fozzi as Elwood and Jake. All the other characters are Muppets, but the bands are played by real blues musicians.
"Brazil": Kermit as Sam Lowry, Robert Dinero reprising his role as "human" Tuttle, Miss Piggy as Sam's mother, and Jill Layton played by the only other human.
"Imagine this. Kermit the Frog in his little Columbo jacket and tiny fedora, backed up by Fozzy, Gonzo, Miss Piggy, and Rizzo. What are they doing? Uncovering the sexual abuse crimes of the catholic church. Billion dollar box-office."
Miss Piggy would have to be the lead in the Wizard of Oz. And while we're at it, I reckon she'd also be a good 00 agent, I'm sure the spy who loved cookies could also make a cameo. https://youtu.be/Yz9u-oG3BgM
The Wizard of Oz would be a great one. How's this for a cast?
Miss Piggy - Dorothy
Rizzo - Toto
Scooter - Scarecrow
Gonzo - Tin Man
Fozzie - Cowardly Lion
Janice - Glinda
Pepe - Wicked Witch of the West
Kermit - the Wizard
Kermit - Jesus
Miss Piggy - Mary Magdalene
Fozzie - Peter
Scooter - Matthew
Rowlf - Mark
Sam Eagle - Luke
Doctor Honeydew - John
Gonzo - Judas
Swedish Chef - Pontius Pilate
Statler and Waldorf - the Jewish elders who condemn Jesus.
Crazy Harry and Beaker - The two thieves crucified with Jesus.
You would need enough female Muppets for, at minimum:
Cosette, Fantine, Madame Thenardier, and Eponine. You could get away with casting the entire convent with penguins, I guess.
But you run out of female Muppets surprisingly quickly. It's Miss Piggy, Janice, Camilla, and that's more or less it. Camilla can only make chicken noises, and even then, Fantine and Cosette need to be cast as believably related to each other, as do Madame Thenardier and Eponine.
Then there's the problem of Gavroche. The most likely casting would be Robin. You gonna kill Robin?
And the natural choice for Javert is Sam the Eagle, who would never play a Frenchman.

Arabian Nights "Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp" (Not Disney's Aladdin) Gonzo and Fozzy could be the Genie's Note I say Genie's plural because in the original Arabian Knights story, there are two. He has one that he can summon from a ring that in the Disney adaptation became the carpet and the other from the lamp that's "The second more powerful Genie" Source for the uninformed
Other than that, I could see Aladdin being human or Kermit, and Rizzo being the "Abu character / friend" Miss Piggy could be the princess character or she could be another human
This isn't really something I'd like done by the muppets per se, but I can't help but bring up there are a ton of stories from the East that have never seen screen time on mainstream TV, like the story of Momotaro or the 108 Heroes of the Water Margin, both of these which can be argued as ideas.
