I think the most exciting part of this for me is the possible reduction in price for last gen OLED monitors.
- Wouldn’t it have to be 5x cheaper to make up for the lost lifespan? (If you’d use it until it dies)
  
  Honestly it depends on the price of these new models. I live check by check so buying 5x monitors over the years would be easier than paying a larger sum for a better one.
  If I can afford these new ones I'll most likely go with those, but judging by the prices of the latest and greatest right now, I doubt I will be able to.

Brighter? Thank god Bandai Namco fixed their logo for Elden Ring, that flashbang can give you eye damage.
- Brighter also means not having to drive them at their maximum so much... Yet another contributor to better lifespan - so better in tow dimensions.

Never going to happen. Got to keep those sheep. Buying new every few years. A long lasting product of quality is not in their playbook.
