There won't actually be a Sims 5 because EA is going to 'disrupt the sequel model' by shoving The Sims 4, Project Rene, and two other games into one 'massive Sims platform'
Yeah as long as they nail it there's going to be a huge reality check for EA.
The issue however is that Korean gamedev culture is MUCH WORSE than western gamedev culture and I am not convinced that their monetisation model will be something the audience will be pleased about.
not that i had any expectations as a sims fan, but saying what amounts to "we're just gonna keep releasing paid content for the sims 4 forever" is pretty low even for EA
china is the real disruptor. after the collapse the sims will exist in an open-source eden because we won't have to deal with this copyWRONG mess anymore
