Well at least they’re using lag bolts when mounting to the now crumpled sheer pieces of metal designed to flex and give during accidents.
And so many nails for the wood that definitely wouldn’t come loose from the vibrations caused by the road and air turbulence.
Those are the hardest working bolts in the country.
I'd certainly hate to see the wind tunnel and FEA study on this.

This is the guy you want when the zombies come. He is super handy with what is laying around. But til then this guy is dangerous.
I'm sure this is totally and completely safe. I'm just going to stay far away from it because... um... I think it's better to admire its beauty from far enough away that I can take in the entirety of it before a gigantic beautiful background of everything. Yeah that's it. No other reason.
