Wait, the other Sims 4 competitors cancelled as well? Weren't there like 3? I was getting excited for some competition.
I think Paralives is still going, but it's the only one that is?
Part of me thinks this decision was down to the fact The Sims is still going strong. Paradox spun up Cities: Skylines and had success due mainly to SimCity imploding itself.
They were perhaps not looking to compete and gambling on EA ruining one of their own franchises again, in order to fill the niche in the market.
The Sims now become dlc feast.
I whole pirate rather than buy all of it
I don't know about not wanting to compete. They've taken shots at dethroning Xcom and Civ recently as well, both of which remain popular
