TIL about exploding head syndrome, which causes patients to hear a loud, frightening noise when falling asleep or waking up. Up to 10% of people may have it, but cases often go undiagnosed
  • Wow! Now I have a cool name to this phenomenon. Doesn't happen every night and there are also times I can ignore it because it's typically not scary, just disruptive. I also see the flashes of light and that can be scary sometimes. I'll think somebody tried to come in while I'm sleeping or that a nuclear bomb just went off. Or that a cosmic ray hit my eyeball.

Now, is there a phenomenon about seeing random faces in my head while falling asleep as well?

  • I hate that I am become this person but: are delivery drivers just allowed to call and say 'please come and meet me' now?
  • I deliver for Domino's. I'm not a fan of climbing three flights of stairs with the equivalent of a grocery cart of food in my arms for a two dollar tip. But you know what, we all suck it up and do our job. Only time I called to have them meet me downstairs was the time I fucked up my leg.

Oh, and 100% agree that apartments are laid out like shit. Thankfully, most of the apartments here in my city will give us a map of the complex.

  • Black screen after exiting games?

Has anyone else ran across this? Every time I close a game and try to go back to the home page, I just get a blank, black screen. It's still on, and I can move the mouse cursor and see it, but everything else is basically frozen. No steam menu or system menu will pop up, only the cursor.
