Only Satan would design a hole that is smaller than the end of a bent paperclip when the entire purpose of the hole is to put something into it.
94 0 ReplyI just realized that each phone comes with one and only one of SIM ejectors, and I have a lot of those in my drawer. I think I have a problem. -_-
60 0 ReplyI keep one on my keys since it's useful for pushing reset buttons and things and if I really need to it even works as a screwdriver
39 0 ReplyI have a lifehack for this:
20 0 ReplyI noticed my phone battery bulging just yesterday. So I went and dug up the documentation that came with it to see if I could take advantage of the manufacturer's warranty. No dice, but the sim card tray ejector thing was in with the user's manual. So at least I have that. :/
18 0 ReplyI'm very responsible
17 0 ReplyI have like 7 of these in a container next to me. I don't think responsible is the word that would be associated with that behaviour.
PS - paperclips work fine for this purpose.
17 0 Reply16 0 ReplyI mean, they fit on a keychain, which is fucking great; Sadly, they stab you through the pants pocket so they're fucking rude.
14 0 ReplyI do tech support, I always have one on my keychain.
14 0 ReplyI just bought a new phone and put it next to the other four I have.
12 0 ReplyiFIXIT kits include a bit that lets you eject sim trays
11 0 ReplyPermanently Deleted
13 2 Replyi usually grab a breadboard jumper wire and shove it in my sim card slot 😂
11 0 ReplyYay, what's my prize?
10 0 ReplyYou guys aren't just using eSIMs?
10 0 ReplyI have a Moonlander split keyboard that is programmable and uses one of these little things for its reset button. My only gripe with it is that they could have designed a place for it to slot into the keyboard itself since it's very easy to lose it if it isn't otherwise attached to something.
11 1 Replyaka fancy paperclip
10 1 ReplyI fixit gang. If you did not know, some of the ifixit kits have a screwdriver bit that is just for that
9 0 ReplyWhat if we're sure it's around here somewhere, just not sure where?
9 0 ReplyI have something like 100 of these in a draw in my home office. Along with a straightened paperclip as a backup.
8 0 ReplyI still have it and now phone is eSIM only. But I can’t bring myself to throw it out.
8 0 ReplyI have a screwdriver bit set that just includes one of those, very tightly secured. Whoever was responsible for ensuring this was neccessary: You are a hero.
8 0 Replythis made me feel good about myself, thanks
8 0 ReplyWe have a whole keyring full of them at work
8 0 Reply....I used mine to clean my ears.
8 0 ReplyHow often are you dudes changing SIMs? I only ever do it when I get a new phone, and they always come with one.
8 1 ReplyI may have found 5 in my desk drawer the other day...
7 0 ReplyI'm responsible for a lot of things
7 0 ReplyI put mine on the keychain.... It's responsible for some small holes in my trousers pockets and I have been pricked too but worth it.
7 0 ReplyJust tuck it into your phone case if you can. Easy solution to always have it when you need it.
7 0 ReplyI am not responsible for most of the random stuff I own, but at least for that thing I found a good place. I keep it between the back of my phone and my phone case. I have to remove the case anyway to access the slot, and then it is just right there available.
6 0 ReplyThis is why us millennials keep our phone boxes
6 0 ReplyI keep mine in my phone case.
6 0 Replydisorganized paperclip gang sound off!
6 0 ReplyPaper clip is better, these things are very flimsy, but also phones and Tablets don't always come with them.
6 0 ReplyI've always just kept it in my case, against the back of my phone.
6 0 ReplyI have many of them. At least 4.
6 0 ReplyI have plenty around the house. When I needed it, I still had to find something else to use because I had no idea where this was.
6 0 ReplyThere's always the trusty toothpick
6 0 ReplyLow bar
5 0 ReplyI never kept mine and used a needle instead
5 0 ReplyClip gang unite!
5 0 ReplyMine are all still in their boxes which I still save for no reason as I never ever will use them. Whenever I need a pin, I can't find a single box, but the boxes are always in the way when I try to find something else. It's a weird world we live in.
5 0 ReplyI store mine between my phone and phone case.
5 0 ReplyWallet, coin part with a zip to keep it safe. It sits next to a random quarter i was given as change (im from the uk and it was given in place of a similar looking uk coin) a silver 1 pence coin (apparently they are rare and worth about £60 but as if my lazy arse is gon a sell it (and who actually buys these things anyway?) Some guitar picks and a franc (defunct french currency)
5 0 ReplyI have at least 6 in my office right now, and another 2 or 3 around my house, and one in my truck...
I will not be taking any questions at this point.
5 0 ReplyI got a Sony Xperia III last month. You can use a fingernail with it since the tray also holds your SD card
5 0 ReplyI scotch-taped it on my desk, I'm looking at it right now...
4 0 ReplyI keep mine in the same container with all my electronics screwdriver bits, seems like the sensible place for it to be
4 0 ReplyIfixit screwdrivers come with a bit for that.
4 0 ReplyEvery time I get a delicate tool like this, it goes in a jar that sits on any random shelf in the house. You still have to go looking for the jar, but they're all there.
I have 6 now, 3 from my own phones and 3 from my wife's since we've been together. The oldest is coming up on 6 or 7 years old now.
I think I still have the shitty stamped multitool from a bike I put together as a teenager somewhere in the garage...
5 1 ReplyGoes great on a Keychain
4 0 Replynope, just a hoarder :)
4 0 ReplyI have two of those. One's from my old phone.

3 0 ReplyI can only imagine NileRed putting this in his box of radioactive watch hands
3 0 ReplyHad to use a paperclip for mine. Didn't even come with one.
3 0 ReplyI just use a paperclip. Most offices/shops/pharmacies deal with papers and have paperclips nearby. Keep in mind if youre traveling :)
3 0 ReplyI have an entire kit for tinkering with phones, and this is one of the tools it includes.
3 0 ReplyI still have this, but I have adhd so I have no idea where it is whenever I actually need it.
3 0 ReplyIf I have 5, what does that make me?
3 0 Replya little repair kit with all these type of things are fuckin invaluable
4 1 ReplyMother fucker. I have one of these that I've been playing with all week, swearing to GOD if I don't put that shit away it's gonna vanish.

4 1 ReplyI just put mine on my key chain
3 0 ReplyPermanently Deleted
3 0 ReplyI keep one on my keychain, never know when you need to get a burner.
3 0 ReplyNever. My current and all previous phones have toothpicks stuck in the holes and knife marks all around the sim tray.
2 0 ReplyTool cabinets are a marvelous thing. I have a little thing squirreled away in a drawer of other tools, just the top of a box that a screen protector came in, that is just full of tiny specialized precision tools that I very seldom need.
4 2 ReplyI bought a pack of a hundred of them and put several everywhere I thought I might look for one.
2 0 ReplyI have this somewhere does that count?
2 0 ReplyI know exactly where two of these are in my desk.
You know, just in case.
2 0 Replyyup. just needed it the other month and paperclipped it after searching in vain for an hour or so.
3 1 ReplyI have a few of them.

2 0 ReplyI used to work for Asurion, I got a dozen of them you can have .
2 0 ReplyIts in the paperwork for your SIM card or for your phone. Both is stored with other paperwork either in a file cabinet or a filing folder.
2 0 ReplyThese are the only reason I don't throw away phone boxes
2 0 ReplyI have several. Not responsible, just ADHD.
1 0 ReplyFucking US iPhones and their eSIM only design 😭
1 0 ReplyHeard this fall off my side table like 4 days ago and haven’t located it yet lol
1 0 ReplyHave mine sitting in a dish on my desk right in front of me. It's what I use to pop off our Arlo doorbell to bring inside to charge it back up when the batteries are low.
1 0 ReplyI don't have mine, but I kind of do, most bit sets for electronics include a bit for Sim card ejectors.
1 0 ReplyIn a bag with charger and other accessories. Don't recall actually using it more than once. Paper clips are the traditional solution.
1 0 ReplyMeh, I already keep a small paper clip in my wallet for clogged vapes, controller resets, SD cards, etc.
1 0 ReplyI have a few at home and a few at work. I don’t need them much anymore with esims, but a few of our users still have older phones.
1 0 ReplyNot only i have one, i once made use of it to someone on a bus ride who randomly needed to swap the sim card. I happened to sit next to him.
1 0 ReplyEarring gang where you at
1 0 ReplyHave it on my keys for years, never lost it.
7 6 ReplyI'm not a responsible person, though, I'm too lazy to move that shit around often to have it lost outside my closet...
