If you think Project 2025 is scary, take a look at Donald Trump's Agenda 47
  • Right, I think this is the point that the above comment is making as well. That the numbers of publicly/out gay people went up because of a more accurate count thanks to a less hostile sociopolitical climate.

I think the point that's being confused in that comment is that the fear mongering was obviously bullshit, and modern bigots pointing at any increase in LGBTQ+ identification nowadays may continue to use those statistics as justification for anti-LGBTQ+ platforms. Instead of engaging that argument that the hate mongers have always known is in bad faith, it's much more to the point nowadays to make them explain what they think is wrong with increased LQBTQ+ identification, or as the original comment put it, "Yeah, and?"

  • Friendly reminder that Chuck Norris is a piece of crap
  • Thanks for providing this. Very well might be the source of the quote based on the date published.

Also worldnetdaily.com is known for promoting falsehoods and is considered a hate group so I think there's still a decent chance that even that article linked isn't a real quote from Norris, though it might be since he was self-promoting via "Chuck Norris facts" for a while.

  • Friendly reminder that Chuck Norris is a piece of crap
  • Anybody got a source on that quote? Looked for a minute but didn't find proof he said that. Chuck is a dumbass and those sentiments are echoed here, but this kind of seems like a fake meme quote to me. Please provide a source if I've missed it!

  • When historians are trying to credit the invention of generative AI, they may have to hunt down that one social media post that started the "use only auto-complete to finish this sentence" trend.
  • The first time the government had been involved with an international investigation was the first in which it found the truth in its report on human smuggling of illegal goods in Britain from Britain in early December in a bid that could prove the case for an independent probe of a trade deal that ended a year later with an international agreement with Britain in violation in December

There’s SO MUCH good modern hardcore music here right now that I’m barely scratching the surface, but hopefully at least one of these does something for you!

  • Iguana enclosure mid-upgrade

Still a lot to do and fill out. All surfaces are sealed a long time ago and should be reptile safe. Cat palm is reptile safe from what I’ve seen.

What are your best air fryer/oven recipes?
  • Air fryer taquitos has been a big one for my house! A million times better than the premade freezer ones and not much more work if you have a protein cooked already or as a leftover.

I base my approach off this But I have used all sorts of proteins instead and it’s always a great meal.

Just put this out with my band and would love some feedback. Quite proud of how it turned out, but always looking to improve. Thanks for listening!

    Our big ol’ rescue, Taz.

She’s from a shelter so we don’t know exactly what mix of breeds she is, but she’s very large and has a lot of loose skin like a lot of breeds bred for their coats. She’s 6 going on 7 years old!

If you resold Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets, the IRS is watching — A new rule from the IRS is punishing those who resold tickets for more than $600 in profit with a tax penalty
  • Yeah I agree - as a small time gigging musician, fuck scalpers and also fuck government overreach here. Anything that hurts scalpers (in all fields, but tickets especially) is interesting to me and the average concert goer, but if it comes at the cost of broadly limiting the used music gear market, among thousands of other used equipment communities, it’s misdirected legislature at best.

The companies and systems that enable scalping and customer extortion such as Live Nation absolutely need to be limited and restricted, but setting a broad limit across all secondhand sales at $600 when it was previously $20,000 is an inaccurate miscorrection. More informed and nuanced legislature is necessary

  • Is it just me or is Starfield kinda meh?
  • The space combat and flight capability in general being a watered down version of Elite’s is definitely my biggest complaint. I’m perfectly happy doing space-chores as gameplay and have really enjoyed bumbling my way between radiant quests and random buildings I find while scanning planets, but I want to land the ship dammit. So much of Elite I found incredibly boring but kept coming back for a long time for the flight/space combat.

I get why they did it that way to make it more accessible to a wider audience (my partner for instance cannot begin to agree with me wanting the flight to be more complicated), but the space genre has often had a huge overlap with flight sim fans for good reason. I hope a very capable modder with far more time and skill than me can implement a more robust space flight experience in there one day.

  • Sassy baby shiba

We had Luca for less than 24 hours at this point, but he was obviously already making a big impression on us

    Luca just turned 3!

Our happy shiba just turned three years old and we love him to bits. He’s eyeing a (dog safe) sandwich just out of frame we made as a birthday feast 🥰

Saw these on a rock by the river in the PNW while fishing today. Any idea what they are?
