It is a small world in the Fediverse :)

You can use the same Windshield in winter and summer (I did many years). When it is used from outside, it helps even more against the temperature.

It is a bit more fun though, to use one with big eyes to be positioned inside and make your car look like from Cars movie. Example on Pinterest

We have the red version (strangely ours was much cheaper here in Germany than what I just found on Walmart website) in our little red Toyota and aside from keeping the car cooler it is looking really cute.

Only right answer is of course TCSH. Not much documentation and support, ancient but still receives new bugs in 2021 (on Debian), but attackers hate it! (I love it)

My real suggestion is to learn zsh and fish (and bash). Try using them for all your purposes and in the end you will automatically find the one (or more of them) that suits you best and that you like most for your daily tasks.

For the cloud storage part I can tell that Nextcloud serves the purpose fine.

I have configured our Android devices with Nextcloud app to upload new images directly into the my-nextcloud-user/files/SofortUpload folder. It has a structure /SofortUpload/ImageFolder/year/months/images, so for example /SofortUpload/Camera/2023/08/IMG_20230803_174100.jpg

("Sofort" is German for "immediate")

This auto-upload has been configured and happens (in our cases) also for the mobile device folders Pictures, Screenshots, Stickers, Telegram and Wallpaper.

For the timeline and viewing part I would also take suggestions, as having not yet found a good solution.

Same popularity as the SPD (aka 20%) means that the party is not irrelevant like the NPD. So if the party's attitude to the constitution has been deemed hostile and it does indeed have the potential to upend democracy in Germany this should be the perfect time to ban this party.

Nur zur Klarstellung: ARD bedeutet, dass es eben auch die Radiohörspiele von WDR, BR, .. gibt. Falls man diese mag, eine Fundgrube, aber es braucht auch Glück, da sich der bereitgestellte "Content" auch öfter mal ändert. War jedenfalls in den letzten Jahren so. Von mir gibt es die klare Empfehlung: Nicht aufgeben, wenn aktuell nicht erreichbar, die Audiotheken der Öffentlich Rechtlichen gerne mal durchstöbern.

Das sind hochwertig produzierte Hörspiele, nicht irgendein Zeug. Aber ja es stimmt, es sind meist Hörspiele, nicht Hörbücher. Ich persönlich finde Gefallen an den älteren Hörspielen aus den 60ern und 70er, da die Stimmen und Stimmungen meist gelassener waren, als heute :)

Die ARD Audiothek ist wirklich sehr gut, wenn man nichts spezifisches sucht. Wir hören immer mal wieder gerne WDR Krimis, oder auch mal "Neues vom Känguru" (als dies gerade "lief" bzw. verfügbar war)

Ja, so ist es. Wir wollen ebenfalls keine Cloud-Nutzung für unsere gekauften Medien, auch nicht bei Thalia oder Tolino.

Für Thalia haben wir uns auch entschieden, weil die MP3-Alben einfach heruntergeladen und dann von uns beliebig abgespielt werden können (Auto, MP3-Player, Handy, DLNA, ...). Die MP3 werden meines Wissens mit Wasserzeichen markiert.

Normalerweise kaufen wir auch kein DRM, aber bei MP3 Wasserzeichen machen wir eine Ausnahme, da dies die Abspielbarkeit nicht beeinträchtigt und wir die Hörspiele nutzen können solange es MP3 Player / Software geben wird.

Wir haben das Thalia-Abo und sind bisher zufrieden damit, da wir alles Gesuchte auch gefunden haben.

Dazu muss ich aber auch sagen, dass wir eine über jahrzehnte gesammelte CD-Hörspielsammlung besitzen, also z.B. die genannte Foundation Saga bereits haben.

Aktuell erwerben wir für das Abo-Guthaben monatlich die in unserer Sammlung fehlenden Terry Pratchett Hörbücher.

This was also my feeling about the Resolved section. Much to discover and to reveal, but there is hope that all can be solved :)

I prefer AppImages on my Debian desktops as they normally simply work out of the box (download, start) and I had (many years ago) trouble with snap and flatpak.
