  • I look at different people and think “how do they do so much, all these different things”.

Then I take a step back and realise that each person often only does one thing, and they put so much time and effort into it.

  • Hopefully it tries to be as neutral as possible, and just gives kids the general tools to spot when something’s fake/exaggerated.

Introducing this sort of thing without trying to be strictly impartial sounds like a slippery slope.

  • The irony of Netflix trying to do a remake for a notoriously long running show…

Really hope they’re committed to this and don’t lose interest after two seasons.

Although I guess this might be one of those situations where it’s primarily a Japanese company that’s commissioning the show, and Netflix just chucks some money their way for the US/European rights?

  • The first two also succeeded because they’re hyped up as kinda “landmark” movies that you must see.

What helped with that was the long gaps in between films, but I really don’t think people are interested in seeing another Avatar film within 3 years of the last.

It just feels like “another movie” and nothing significant. I never even got around to watching the second tbh.

I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who would honestly say they actually like the Avatar films. They’re alright.

  • I kinda get why they (and other companies) have to try AI at the moment though.

It’s not what people claim it is, but it could end up being an essential tool for the modern world, and if they don’t invest in it early their business might end up getting left behind.

We’ve certainly seen companies fall because they’ve not tried to stay on the cutting edge before.

  • I keep thinking I should look into this MrBeast drama, then I remember I just do not give a single fuck.

I went through a h3h3 phase when I was like 20, then realised that any YT drama is just toxic and it’s best to avoid it entirely.

I miss Tom Scott, just made quality videos with none of the BS. Nothing over the top, just interesting content from a genuine guy who cares about his audience.

  • True, but it’s also good to not get carried away with assuming people are on steroids.

If they have actual indicators of steroid usage then fair enough, but otherwise it could just be years of consistent hard work and good genetics.

Usually you just need to look at the traps to tell tho 🤣

  • But they say they are chatting about video games and joking around, what more do you want?

It’s work tho, so it stays there. You have to get on with someone really well to want to see them all day at work and then after as well.

  • It’s awful. Politics is unavoidable at this point, and the amount of general anger on the platform is crazy.

People love watching their videos of people getting TBIs… Or getting too excited about a “justice served” post where a woman gets hit.

It’s kinda nice to see someone get their comeuppance, but then you look in the comments and there are just weirdos saying stuff like “glad that bitch got hit”, like… wtf?
