In the past it was to shift the blame from the boss to the manager so the working class wouldn't blame those at the top but the middle man. And present day it's an even more useless role where people are pressured to overwork themselves just to keep their job and this allows the companies to avoid paying overtime.
Showering is one of those tasks that for me feels impossible to complete. And somehow I always get stuck on thinking I must complete tasks in The Proper Way or it's cheating.
