The NYT informs Russia about foreign aid deliveries
  • yes, nyt is shit. however it's important we ask ourselves questions:

    • where did they get this info?
    • how sensitive are this info anyway? aren't they available to public?

also, i got blocked by the site. do they have the article in question in there?

  • If you were sent back to the roman era and could only bring a backpack of goods. What would you bring?
  • The reason I chose gold is because you can make more of it in that era (e.g. thru banking, trading, pilaging) while modern medicine (assuming you mean with all the synthetic chemicals) would be easily exhaustible, not to mention they can expire.

On the other hand, since you'd be carrying modern knowledge, you'd be able to setup some make-shift facilities, applying modern concept to what you can get. And you can achieve quite a lot that way. An example would be sterilization. You can also go a long way combining natural material.

  • [solved] homing upon tapping the app icon is truly disruptive!

After the most recent update, the view always return to the top of local homepage.

This is very disruptive, since some users would press home when they want to use another app, and would tap the icon on the homepage to go resume what they were doing.

I actually tried to write this post earlier, but something came up that requires me to context switch. When I was done with that, I tapped Jerboa icon on my homepage (muscle memory). To my surprise, the post I was writing disappeared, replaced by the local homepage. I don't even browse local that often...
