Verstappen gets bodyguards for Perez's home GP
  • Alright fair enough. Though it seems this whole thing feels a bit fabricated. Alot of local people said they were booing not max but Gregg abbot who was presenting as a lot of people do not like him, however it's being spun as max being the target.

  • Verstappen gets bodyguards for Perez's home GP
  • Don't drivers usually have some sort of body guards pretty often? I've seen lewis with guards before but it wasn't at mexico.

  • What is a hobby you enjoy, but seems too quirky or obscure to bring up in most conversations?
  • I just posted a similar response but I think the issue, at least for me, is how deep into the weeds I get with each subject. Anyone can be into coffee for example, but it's the ones who do the research and watch the videos about the subject in their free time, that make a simple thing such as coffee become more of an obscure thing. 🤷‍♂️

  • What is a hobby you enjoy, but seems too quirky or obscure to bring up in most conversations?
  • Seems like every hobby is too obscure for most to care at the level I do. Sim racing, rtlsdr, self hosting, ANY kind of motorsports, home automation, blogging, DND, video games... At the surface these are not too obscure but I find very few people in my day to day life that care about them in detailed way

  • Yep...that entire situation is so crappy. The devs deserved better.

  • Despite how much I dislike working with hardware, I'm toying with the idea of building my own PC. A quick perusal through Newegg leaves me wondering why everything related to gaming PCs has to have RG
  • Yep. I didn't choose to have rgb in my current build, but it's also very simple to turn them off. Whereas 15 years ago I remember pulling the blindingly bright blue LED from the chassis fans just to be able to have my room dark. Lol

  • Undo "hide read"?
  • I wish sync worked like connect did with hide read.

You can have show read checked but mark read and hide read in connect and it'll still hide on refresh and you can still view your own posts when you go to your profile. Since doesn't seem to work that way.

  • Larian blames localization studio for missing Baldur's Gate 3 credits, says they'll be added in the next hotfix
  • Another reason to like Larian. Plus they even called them out which is neat imo.

  • sort top 3 hour?

Ive recently been sorting top 6 hours but I was curious if there's an option for top 3 hours? I know that's just getting more granular, but not sure if it's a lemmy thing or an app thing.

    Shadows of the Haunted Keep

A dark, imposing castle with weathered stone walls, rusty iron, and forbidding doors stands in a mysterious landscape. Inside, dimly lit rooms, flickering torches, and eerie shadows await. Treacherous stairs lead to strange objects, faded tapestries, and whispers. Danger looms, anticipation rises—something horrifying awaits.

Mystical Solitude: The Enigmatic Twilight of a Mountain Landscape

    Prompt created locally via wizardLM-7b

    > Describe an eerie image of a mountain landscape

    >An eerie image of a mountain landscape could be one where the sun is setting behind the mountains, casting long shadows across the valleys below. The sky may be painted with a palette of oranges, purples, and pinks as the light fades away into darkness. The peaks of the mountains are shrouded in mist, creating a sense of mystery and intrigue. The silence is broken only by the occasional howl of a wolf or the rustling of leaves in the wind. It's a scene that evokes a sense of solitude and isolation, making it feel like you're at the edge of the world.

    Lemmy instance motorsports oriented?

Hey all, but I've been enjoying browsing "local" in some of my instances and I'm looking to join a more specific example and was curious if there are any heavy motorsports related.

F1, imsa, wec, anything. I'm already subscribed to a bunch of those communities as well. I guess I'd have that as a discovery-type mechanic.

    Bonus points, English-speaking Netherlands-ish instance

    cheers.

Update 2.9 Has Been Pretty Great

I’ve been rocking OTA 2.9 on my Polestar 2 for a few weeks now, and I have to say, it’s been an impressive update.

One of the standout features for me has been the improved efficiency app. It’s a fantastic addition that I’ve been enjoying watching the graph change based on my driving and the road.

There was a poll a while back about Pilot Assist holding too far to the right or left. It was interesting to see mixed responses. Some folks agreed while others claimed they hadn’t experienced the issue at all.

I was one of the unlucky ones who experienced a problem on a particular stretch of highway where Pilot Assist would uncomfortably stick to the right side of the lane. However, with update 2.9, I haven’t encountered this problem again on the same stretch of road. It’s worth noting that there haven’t been any documented changes to how Pilot Assist functions, nor any modifications to the road (like repainting the lane markings, for instance).

All in all, I believe the 2.9 update is a significant step in the right direction for the Polestar 2. It’s great to see the company actively working on improving the driving experience. Kudos to the development team!
