I wasn't arguing that we shouldn't offer them in public restrooms, just pointing out that there will be issues, even though you and I can handle them just fine. I hate using public restrooms ever since I installed bidets in my house. I even take baby wipes backpacking with me now, since I can't stand only using dry toilet paper. It's gross!
I've used many different systems and the one that works best for me are the diamond rods with an angle brace. This is the one that I use, but there are several different brands available. I also have the Worksharp electric belt sander system, and that works really well too, but it removes a lot of metal, so I only use it sparingly. I used to have off-brand crock sticks and those are pretty cool, but they take a lot of time and still have a margin for user error. I used nothing but stones when I was younger, and that's a cool system that gives the user a lot of manual control, but good stones are expensive, you need several of them, they're bulky to store, and there's a lot of room for error. Any of these are good options, and there are more still that I didn't mention. It just comes down to personal preference.

I hadn't tried it in 2 different playthroughs because it's rated really low online. But since I've used the other builds already, I figured I'd give it a go for Astarion in this new playthrough. He has an item that makes him invisible for two turns whenever he kills someone, which basically makes him a one man killing machine. For 3 different battles now I've split him off from the group and sent him out ahead to sneak attack the enemy group. Welp, reinforcements were never needed. He sneak attacks from range, turns invisible, moves away so he can't be detected, and attacks again. Each attack one-shots his victim, and he can make quick work of entire groups of enemies.
I can see that this build wouldn't be great for unexpected battles, or outright confrontation, but when you know that you want to fight, dang man! It's amazing.
If you happen to find that item that gives invisibility on kill, then I highly suggest getting a good bow, and giving assassin a try. It seems like it would be a good option for a playthrough without companions, as long as you are able to get back into stealth after attacking.
Every time I get a notification that someone has commented or messaged me it is back to the Show All option, even though I've set it to Show Unread a hundred times already.
I didn't do anything to trigger it. I just hit an enemy with the t5 hammer. The weapon was not cursed. This is most certainly a game breaking bug.

Everywhere online now, every movie, every home video, has been passed through so many filters that people don't look human any more. Nobody has any lines in their face, their teeth are florescent white, their eyes are filled in and have no veins. Nobody ever looks tired, or natural. Add to the mix the fact that everyone is getting lip implants to look like a blowfish, and I'm just tired of it. I miss seeing real human beings.
I just played freerunner for the first time and managed to ascend to the surface with the amulet with 12 healing potions left, and several food items. My build was +6 plate armor with glyph of brimstone, +7 glaive with lightning enchant, +2 wand of blasting, +4 blazing wand (or whatever it's called), +2 ring of haste, +3 ring of ferver (or whatever the attack speed one is called). It was so easy and awesome! I'd light the whole room on fire, then just run backwards and hit things with the glaive while out of range. Death Mark provided a fair amount of shielding and crowd control after the Dwarf King. I did have a ring of wealth earlier in the game and got really good drops, but this class is really strong if you get some good support gear. The movement speed alone lets you disengage from fights you don't want to take, lets you avoid damage, and prevents starvation. I had a whip until the demon halls and that also worked well with the play style. Overall I think it's my new favorite class.
Would a Federation warship like the Defiant out gun a Star Wars Star Destroyer? Who has a bigger armada? Who has the tactical advantage? Don't forget that The Federation includes the Klingons, who love warfare and have fast, agile, heavily armed ships, with cloaking devices, and the Vulcans with superior logic and tactical planning.
He had unlimited resources, and was associated with people who were fashionable and members of high-society, but he himself almost always wore really ugly clothes. Was it a statement of his power, that he didn't need to worry about his appearance, or did he just not give a shit?
I have block bots selected, and I have my language set, yet I frequently see both types of posts which violate those settings. Are there additional changes I can make to see fewer of each type of post?
It's the Knife of the Undermountain King, if that is relevant. I'm not a druid, so I don't think it has anything to do with wild shape. I have had Jahiera in my party a few times. I did get disarmed once about 20 hours ago, so it might be related to that. Anyways, I cannot unequip, disarm, throw, or drop that knife. I've tried exiting the game and rebooting the PS5 and nothing works. I'm a level 2 pally, level 10 bard, if that matters. Does anyone have any ideas?
SOLVED: I jumped off a cliff to my death, and then had a companion resurrect me at Withers and that finally fixed it.

Okay... But we can take a DNA test and get our ancestry, telling us what percentage of what races make up our overall ethnicity. So how is race a social construct and not a biological feature, when we have a scientific method to determine our race? This part of the philosophy has been bothering me ever since I read it, and I've been hesitant to ask because of how offensive people get when you question this system.
I've been using Sync successfully for months now. Today I tried to post and it said I need to log in. I have tried a dozen times and it keeps throwing errors. I verified that I can log in on the mobile website. Logging in to lemmy.world through sync works fine. Any ideas?
