Riches shout, wealth whispers. Does not surprise me at all to see some folks that achieve billionaire status basically just trying to live as normal, only with the ungodly large number following them around to presumably be exclusively used as a family trust upon the original mogul's passing.
The flexible hours and paid childcare are probably the biggest part of the solution. Throwing money at people doesn't necessarily make them happier, and in fact may demotivate them, but those two items are big.
Demotivation maybe after the needs are met and exceeded. The "money doesn't make you happy" is bullshit until you have enough not to live in fear over how to keep supporting you and your family. But I agree, those two things are big factors. That and respect.
