You can quote the scripture all you want but hardly anyone else who gains a conscience gets a major news outlet story published about them. The quote I pulled from the article here demonstrates, to me anyway, that if Israel was a mere 5% less genocidal he would’ve held on to his post. This guy worked for the Middle East bureau and now I’d wager he’s gonna go work for some private defense contractor of some sort. He does some sort of minor protest that won’t impact anything and now we aren’t allowed to call him a pig on the internet?
You have to give cogs in the machine a way out. You don't have to trust the guy, and quitting doesn't exonerate one of past crimes, but the obvious response here should be "this person took a meaningful step in the right direction."
