I agree with everything you said, yet I still enjoy these comics. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
8 0 ReplyI think he could've touched more weird things we humanoids do that do feel alien to us if we step aside and really think about them.
7 0 ReplyI recommend you to actually do write jokes on your own, (simple) creativity like this can feel really great.

I think Nathan Pyle's work is hilarious. The Strange Planet stuff isn't for me, but the rest of it is.
3 1 ReplyDifferent folks different strokes. I don't think there's much to gain from analyzing why something may or may not make you laugh.
I feel the same way about pizzacakecomics. Not once has it made me laugh personally, but judging by upvotes a ton of people like it

Oh! Calluses. My first read was "if you repeat the action enough you'll cause numbing nerve damage," which has nothing to do with hardening.
20 2 ReplyI mean, there's also nerve damage. When I practiced martial arts, it was considered a good thing when your knuckles and arms suffered enough trauma that there was less pain. 🤷♂️
10 0 ReplyIs there actual nerve damage or your nervous system changing your perception of pain?
4 0 ReplyDoes the nerve damage heal from that if you don't practice for a long time?
