question about how to create communities

how do you create a community on Lemmy? I'm not necessarily interested in making one and actively maintaining it but just curious.

- ah thanks for this, I'll have to check on PC. ive been using Lemmy pretty much only on mobile through boost.
  
  There's a few features I haven't seen many apps include for whatever reason. The instance's modlog and the list of instances an instance is federated/defederated with are neat features Lemmy has that I can't find on most apps.
Just a heads up: Some instances don't allow creation of new communities by non-admins. If the "Create Community" option isn't there, you're probably on one of those instances.
