It would be great to not be weird (snobbish/selfish) and have the physical, mental and financial fortitude to be able to purchase and restore an old classic like this, especially located (or able to withstand relocation) in the countryside. A dog, few chickens or ducks for eggs, small veggie garden, maybe beehives, a small pond or fountain, and ofc a storage shed and hangout shed, fire pit, a few fruit and nut trees would be the frosting on the cake and cherry on top.
My wild guess is that there were balconies or otherwise very tall windows there before, but they were replaced with the smaller ones and the roof part was removed.
At least I've seen buildings with similar changes, but those usually come with a new straight roof while these have those bumps.
