Another news site called it a 'fish lizard' which made me laugh.
8 0 ReplyThis is a type of ichthyosaur which is derived from ancient Greek meaning fish-lizard. It's also a part of the formal name for this new species.
The team have named the species Ichthyotitan severnensis, meaning “giant fish lizard of the Severn”.
