Another news site called it a 'fish lizard' which made me laugh.
This is a type of ichthyosaur which is derived from ancient Greek meaning fish-lizard. It's also a part of the formal name for this new species.
The team have named the species Ichthyotitan severnensis, meaning “giant fish lizard of the Severn”.
Okay, fair enough, but it's not like they say "new thunder lizard fossil discovered..."
