Shire is a good choice for a gloomy winter day in spring. It also goes very well with a recent favourite of my wife's, Santal 33 (violets), so it tends to get me more compliments recently.

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
Final travel shave as it turns out. I need to head home one day early from my trip due to scheduling changes. I had hoped to spend some time in Cuyahoga National Park which I have not visited. I think I'll have to put that off for another day.
Spiced is a great travel fragrance. It wakes you up in the morning, but has enough depth to be interesting beyond that.
Nothing bad. We had to postpone a day of hiking in Cuyahoga National Park because my daughter is fighting off a head cold. Rest and fluids seemed like the more prudent choice. I want to get there during the spring, but there’s still ample opportunity.
We recently had a cold snap, complete with snow. It’s still sunny outside, but just chilly. The combination of today’s scents worked very well for the sudden change in weather. If Confluence is the hiking day trip to the forest, then Hygge is the evening winddown by the fire with some drinks.
Post Shave: Pinaud - Clubman Special Reserve - Aftershave

Some great smells today. Black Amber Vanille was a gift from a friend - the Rustic soap base isn't my favorite, but today I got a decent lather and shave from it, so that's great! The scent though -- warm, resinous, rich... I love it. Clubman Special Reserve runs in the same vein.
