    • Brush: AP Shave Co Black 26mm G5A

    • Blade Holder: Gillette Tech English Flat Bottom

    • Blade: Astra Superior Platinum (2)

    • Lather: Southern Witchcrafts - Samhain - Soap

    • Aftershave: Noble Otter - Cerberus - Aftershave

2 passes. Bowl lather. Excellent shave.

    — I’m traveling, so only the soap will be changing for FLS and SLS during this trip. Thanks to u/VisceralWatch for the FBT. Love this little razor. It’s perfect for travel.

  • Another stupid enndeegee idea
  • Great idea! As a daily shaver, I’m never going to do a traditional Atlas Shaves in Feb. I don’t have anything to add that others haven’t already. I like the idea of DQs. Certainly works for the (my) geezer generation. I’m not sure how generations that grew up receiving a prize even for losing will like it.

As DJ says, those with a well-stocked den will have an advantage, but it’s wetshaving and that’s part of the hobby.

    — Travel shave. Tis the season for Autumn Ash. It must be used. And, as we all know, Cerberus matches zero or more soap scents.

  • Headless Honing - Razor Sharpening for Friodom Riders, Honemeisterschaft, and Headless Horsemen

This offer is for those who want to take on one, or more, of the straight razor challenges for Austere August. If you are hesitant to participate because your straight isn't shaving well, and you don't want to hone it yourself, or, if you just want someone else to hone your razor, I'll be happy to do it for you -- for free. (But, I don't charge sub.wetshaving.social members anyway.) And, I'll even cover some, or all of your return postage.

This offer is for razor honing only. I don't do razor restoration or repair other than for myself. I'm certain that there is time between now and August for a package to make a round-trip through the US Postal Service in CONUS. If you live elsewhere, just PM me and we can discuss it.

If you're interested in this, please PM me or contact me via Matrix to work out details.

I should add that you can have your choice of finish: synthetic, coticule, Black Arkansas, Black Shadow (a French slate), or Japanese Natural stone. For stainless razors, because of the added chromium in the steel, the safe bet is a synthetic edge.
