Qt all the way. Funny thing is that if you choose to use GTK on Qt it looks decent but god forbid you use Qt on
MacOSGnome you have a terribad experience.What's wrong with QT in GNOME? It would be nice if QT apps were themed to look like GTK apps by default but you can just install Kvantum and the KvLibadwaita theme yourself.

I have a Qt app on GNOME https://github.com/jeena/FeedTheMonkey and it's much essier to code wit QML and C++. But it looks quite terrible.
That is why I chose GTK and libadwaita for my next app. Looks terrific, but it takes me ages to learn how to use it, even though python is much easier than C++.
I myself currently use a qt Desktop (Plasma6) and would always choose a qt app over a gtk one
Qt FTW only true alphas and sigmas use Qt. GNOME is for betas, it's a badly copy of MacOS. GNOME is definition of what trash is. If you want something better than GNOME use Cosmic

You do now that Gnome is just a GUI, right? You can just yank it out, and slap yours favourite.
And yes, been using Gnome On my NixOS for 4 years now, and No, I've never used MacOS. I prefer minimalist/simplistic clean view. Wanna get dirt on my hands? I just dive into console, or ignore the GUI altogether with Ctrl+alt+F2/F3/F4.
Funny thing is, it don matter what libraries where used in any app scarfolding, if I install it on my computer (again, NixOS), it WILL ALWAYS run!
But I will say this... Developing GUI on qt is a breeze (Abit complex, yes; but predictable. So simplex?)

You're an odd type. NixOS is for the gratest of Chads, like myself. But you're a level below me, I'm the ultimate Chad using Xmonad configured with real men's pure functional Haskell. You're ashamming yourself using Gnome for fags, so much you have to Ctrl+alt+F2 when someone wants to see your computer desktop. But if you have an anime girl waifu as your wallpaper, then we can forget about it.
Desktops interfaces are not just GUI, it's a style of life.
Nevermind Nix reproducibility pros if you're using it to damage the environment with your dirt rotting Gnome foot while runing.
GNOME is trash because it has an odd logo, extensions break with every update, developers refuse to listen to users, is a MacOS clone (no originality), can't even put icons on the desktop view, is not cute.
