It's a melt!! But that looks delicious

4 0 ReplyYeah something between a melt and grilled cheese. The chicharon made it extra crunchy.
4 8 ReplyThere is nothing between a melt and a grilled cheese. It's one or the other. Or neither. I'm bringing this argument back.

How was it?
Before I clicked I was expecting melted cheese between two pieces of chicharon
3 0 ReplyIt was so good. The whole was greater than the sum of its parts. I also dipped it in guacamole for some extra goodness

Wots the yellow stuff?
2 0 ReplyThe sourdough I used has tumeric and butterfly pea flower in the dough, so it's naturally blueish purple and yellow
5 1 ReplyThe colors are really eye catching. The sandwich looks delicious

Oh dang, good idea. I don't really like chicharron by itself, but I bet that's freaking perfect. Although I might crush up the chicharron into bits first and sprinkle it over rather than such large chunks.
Congratulations, that is a win
2 0 ReplyYeah I'm thinking next time I'll cut the chicharon into smaller bits, but this one was still pretty good texture wise
2 1 ReplyNice. Mad congrats. I'm not huge on eating bags of chicharron unaccompanied, but I definitely fully endorse their addition to a grilled cheese. It makes the best kind of sense.
