Calling chatGPT an other is a level of tech worship I’ve never seen before.
It has no capacity for understanding or thought. It’s a fancy predictive text generator. Yes it’s cool, but at the end of the day it does the same thing as my phone’s keyboard, just for longer and with better grammar.
Is this true? I don't want to try it myself in case the LLM is actually a human in a third world country rapidly googling things. (You have wondered that too.)
