How do your pets feel about coffee?
When I get back in bed with my first cup of the day, the kitty typically gets on my lap and takes a big SNIFF of it. I’ve never seen another animal be consistently interested like that- I like to imagine she’s a reincarnation who really enjoyed coffee in a past life, and this is a simple reminder of that

PostScript: saw a bunch of notifications and immediately assumed I said something ridiculous elsewhere lmao.
Once back in 2019, this little jackass landed himself in the emergency vet with a massive UTI after he drank my coffee. OK, so he also got ahold of a couple of succulents (a tiny aloe vera and a jade plant) that may have been related, but the coffee didn't help!
The feline urge to just absolutely obliterate your kidneys and bladder
My cat died from kidney and liver failure :cri:
Cats when you have a little bit of savings you really didn’t want to spend on vet bills:
Hahaha i see the tipped ear - another convert from the feral to cozy pipeline? Ours too. I think there’s something in them about the need/freedom to monch. Our gals a bit older and she only has 1 canine (feline?) tooth remaining, so we call it the hole-punch when she bites the christmas cactus
One of his siblings did that to him! He was a feral rescue, but we found him and the rest of his litter when they were only a few weeks old. Their mother had them in the crawlspace under the house that we were renting, and then either abandoned them or got eaten by a coyote/mountain lion/etc. I was out with the dog one night and thought I heard meowing. I told my wife and she didn't believe me. The next morning, she heard it too, and once we figured out where it was coming from, I started removing skirt panels until we could see them to lure them out.
We found four kittens, and wound up keeping three (a friend took the fourth). Here they are before their first trip to the vet:
They had barely opened their eyes when we found them and since they only ever knew humans, the three that we kept never really learned how to "cat." They're all very clingy and affectionate, and the two tabbies (well, torby and tabby) are the chattiest cats I've ever seen.
The gray one getting into coffee and trashing houseplants was honestly kind of surprising at the time, because he's usually the laziest out of them all.
