Timed out of Blahaj for making zionists angry

I came to a post on this community where a user said that a certain community was zionist. But their comment was really long and I wasn't sure if it had been removed for that or something else. So I wanted to test it myself.

I went to that community and posted something that's only offensive to zionists. My post was pro-jewish and anti-zionist, so there was no way to confuse it as meaning something else. I wanted to see what would happen. Either it would get removed for zionist reasons, get removed for other reasons, or stay up. That would answer my question. It got removed because the mod said they felt rage baited. That answered my question. I linked the post and the modlog here as evidence, to share my findings. Now everyone knows for sure whether that community is zionist.

What I wasn't expecting is Ada's response. She said in the modlogs she also felt the post was rage bait. I didn't see that coming because I didn't think Ada was a zionist. I thought she would be fine with seeing zionists get angry, because they get angry over the most mild things.

You're a month old account, approaching a topic in a way designed to maximise rage responses and arguments. Stop doing that
- The hell? Why do we have to have accounts of a certain age to discuss certain topics?

  New accounts such as yours tend to be overwhelmingly trolls on alt accounts to avoid being banned. It's natural that a new account is going to be treated with more suspicion than an established member of the community.

  I'm not going to remove someone for complaining about my moderation. Which is to say, ranting about me in this community is something I'll leave up to the community mods to deal with however they feel appropriate.
  
  Any community member is allowed to rule on any action placed here. We've even had mods pre-emptively post their own actions here for judgement. That's not stirring the pot, that's normal community engagement. (It would be stirring the pot if she had engaged with the topic, and not the mod action. Big diff.)
  I really didn't want to actually post a response here but your mugging for the audience, "hey look at this comment!" behavior is such a pet peeve of mine. If you're going to accuse Ada of being a zionist, accuse her. If you're going to complain about the mod action, do that. But "here's a quote from someone else, and I'm going to side-eye the situation" is so... gutless, and adds nothing.
- I've said zionism is antisemitic dozens of times offline and online. I've said it at protests, to friends, to girlfriends, to acquaintances, to Jewish people, to Muslims. It doesn't start arguments.
  It gets agreement from normal people, or censorship from people in charge. And this is my first time having it censored. I knew people had a problem with it because I've seen it be censored when other people say it, but this is my first time having someone not say I'm right.

  I took issue with how you said it, which is to say, you started a new "conversation" out of the blue, framed in a way designed to start an argument. And even that wouldn't have been enough to get me involved, except that you don't have a history of posting on this topic, your account is new, and I've previously removed a comment of yours for arguing with a femboy about what kind of memes he's allowed to post.

BPR/YDI. The fact you are doubling down on the shit stirring here confirms it was the right call by both mods/admins.
YDI. Rage baiting is a form of trolling. The point is not necessarily that your opinion is infuriating the mod, but that it's intended to cause intense discussions (typically between third parties) which often devolve into flamewars that are difficult to moderate therefore wasting the mods' time and deteriorating the community cohesion. If your plan was to have a constructive discussion about the topic, there's other ways to word it. But it's clear when you don't want to do that.
- There is no "constructive discussion" about the validity of genocide. If zios are flame warring, they should be banned. They should be banned anyway. No platform for fascism.
- I didn't intend either of those. The third option is overwhelming evidence against the /europe mod leads to the feddit.org admins taking the community away from the mod for breaking the instance rules. I did my part. I thought lots of other users were going to as well. It's part of being a responsible netizen. I wanted to be a good girl who does the right thing when zionists are banning other people.

Ada likely wants a civil community. Allowing ragebait of any kind isnt conducive to a civil community. It likely has nothing to do with the content of the bait.

I can’t even really make sense of this but I think the diagnosis as pointless rage bait is pretty accurate
YDI, you should take the message. Your ragebaitng isn't seen as acceptable. Now when people including the mod are calling you out on it, instead of stopping and disengaging you're doubling down and calling them Zionists. This doesn't help you, it's just going to make your situation worse.

But you actually did post to rage bait. I’m not usually one to defend Ada, but in this case, you went there intentionally to stir things up, and you got exactly what you were looking for.
Posting in a place you don’t like, just to see what happens, is the definition of trolling. It’s not like how Lemmy uses the word now to describe anyone they disagree with. The real definition is posting something just to get a reaction.

There is zero value with saying shit simply to piss people off. You're not bringing a different viewpoint or trying to encourage dialog, you're just spreading anger and outrage. If anybody wanted that they'd be on traditional social media.

Support. There's nothing wrong with using reality to troll fascists. The fact that the fascists weren't banned tells you alot about the mods and the deep racist biases among libs/USAians.
