Do you and your buddy arrive in town, get temporary dishwasher jobs, befriend locals and solve their personal problems, then leave town in your Corvette with background music?
I'm more likely to do stuff like mowing lawns or washing cars and yes I befriend locals. I've got friends all over. Helping them with their personal problems not so much.
Just jokin' with ya, I was referring to a very old TV show called Route 66, about two buddies who drifted from town to town in a corvette. They lived hand to mouth and found drama wherever they went. You actually sound like you've found the life that suits you, and I admire that. If you're ever in Seattle DM me!
What does the drifter lifestyle consist of?
An intricate knowledge of Wi-fi hotspots, meeting a lot of new and interesting people, always sleeping somewhere new, a lot of hotels and restaurants and a lot of doing odd jobs for money.
Don't feel bad. I like my life. Also you can ask as many questions as you want.
Do you have a car? (I’ve tried sleeping in my car and it fucking sucked every time i did, no matter what)
Yes I do.
"What are your favourite/worst kind of places to spend nights?"
I love having sleep overs. Quality varies depending on where I'm having the sleep over. Hotels if I'm welling to treat myself. The worse places are my car and homeless shelters.
"Do you travel far away frequently?"
No, I mostly travel around my hometown or maybe New York. That's about it.
"Any cool facts about anything at all?"
I once saw a guy win a fight against two guys at the same time. That was some Chuck Norris stuff.
Got any good recipes?
I work at Berger King so I know plenty but if your on the road I would say that tortilla + tomato puree + cheese + 5 mins in the microwave = great easy meal.
At what age would you say it would become unsustainable. Mainly thinking failing health.
I would say once you are too old and can't take of yourself so about 70.
Ever try hammock camping?
What was it like being on Portal and working with Dave?
Lol, wat?
Portal was a show on TechTV mixing live action with macinema exclusively using popular MMORPGs of the time. One of the recurring video game heroes of the show was The Drifter. The main, actual human character, was Dave.
How does your lifestyle compare to that of a "hobo," "tramp," "vagabond," etc.? Do you consider yourself part of any defined cultural movement of that sort, or are you just sort of doing your own thing?
I consider myself a vagabond. It's similar but the difference is a hobo or tramp does it due to a financial situation where as a vagabond or drifter does it as a lifestyle.
Is there a social or political aspect to it? I watched this Tasting History video the other day, where he talked about how post-Civil-War to Depression-era hobos had conventions and secret writing systems and lived together in "jungles" and all sorts of organized stuff like that. Is that still a thing, and do you participate in it?
Where do you sleep ?
It depends. Sometimes I have sleepovers with friends, sometimes I have one night stands, and other times I sleep in my car or a hotel but if I get really desperate I sleep in a homeless shelter.
Tokyo, duh
Little bit of toe-in for grip just like racecars.
You don't really do much to the rear setup for angle things.
The track.
I've heard that giving the rear wheels a negative camber or 'stanced' look improves the drift by making it a little easier to break free in the back
"how do you tune the rear suspension for optimal angle?"
Idk I've never been good at maths
"Also where to practice without attracting the attention of cops?"
Practice what?
